Deadline festival
Added 2015-09-28 15:38:18 +0000 UTCEvery so often I go through what I call deadline hell at the end of the month. I currently do 6 illustration per month which is a lot considering I was doing 5 before. But when I first started I would do 8-7! For anybody who had been following me on Deviantart for sometime, they might have noticed that I hardly posted for about 2 and 1/2 years due to all the work I was doing. Though Im not allowed to post company work online, there are people who sell the cards in an auction on the web. Since this doesnt go against the NDA, Ill send some links to some of the images Ive worked on.

The game is called Bakumatsu Engi (幕末演義) and there are about 12+ illustrators that are doing work for the game, 3 in house including myself.
Each character goes through 3 stages of evolution or leveling up so their clothes and hair change colour along with the Japanese patterns on the clothing.
The deadline is 2 days from now and Ive finished 2 completely, finished fully painting 3 (have to do the evolution next) and the last one Im still in the middle of painting. Im a bit nervous about if Ill be able to finishe all or not. There will be some sleepless nights lol.
Though the images might be small, from now on, Ill show my supporters some of the stuff Ive been working on at the end of the month.
And I have to thank you all. Between Patron and Gumroad, I can keep it at 5-6 a month. Its cool that I have a choice of how many I do in a month, as this changes the salary. But doing any more like before would most likely burn me out which would keep me from doing more personal work. I only hope that the rewards that you receive help you on your own journey.
If you guys have any questions about what Im doing, Japan, etc, let me know in the comments.
Cheers and as always thank you all for the support!

2015-09-29 07:28:04 +0000 UTCI had none actually. The company Im working for now found my work on Pixiv.net a little over 3 years ago and I started doing freelance for them in the next month. I had just ended my contract as an English teacher at the time and I just kept working on commissions, personal work, and posting on my sites. If anything, the buildup was doing work and personal work that I could post.
