Katsuki wasn’t sure what all the fuss was about, when he saw all his classmates gathered at the door of the dorm building, and honestly, he wasn’t sure if he cared anymore. It always seemed to be Izuku, lately, anyway – he didn’t need that bullshit in his life.

When he heard wings beating, though, he got a little curious. He crept over to peek, surprised to see Hawks standing outside their door, chatting with Tokoyami and a couple of their other classmates – maybe he’d finally decided to take on some non-bird sidekicks, or something.

Maybe Katsuki should get out there and shoot his shot.

He squeezed through the crowd, throwing caution to the wind, and sidled over to where the little group stood, Hawks flashing them his usual little smile that set the girls squealing in the streets. Katsuki wasn’t blind, he knew Hawks was a good-looking guy, but he’d never understood the hysteria that came along with him.

“It’s been a long time,” Hawks was saying, eyes raking down to the ground, then back up again pointedly. “You’re looking good, Deku. You been working out?”

Katsuki turned right back around, gritting his teeth as he shoved his classmates out of the way, wishing he’d never even bothered.

“Are you fucking kidding me?”
