Hope you get to listen to the other 2 physical album-exclusive lyrical songs, "Pas de Deux" and "Natsu no Shouzou/Summer Portrait" next time! I really like the whimsical vibe of Pas de Deux. Oh, I'd like to add a little bit of context here. Sorry for the redudancy if someone on Twitch already explained it. I don't think region lock is the appropriate term for these songs, 'cuz I am accessing them outside Japan with no problem. So the album Gentou/Magic Lantern has a physical artbook version. It's a collaboration between Yorushika and Ryu Kato, the artist who drew all the jacket covers of Gentou songs. You might recognize the art style from "Tsuki ni Hoeru/Howling at the Moon", "Dai Ichiya/First Night", and "Aporia"'s MVs. This artbook album has 2 chapters, Chapter 1 is called "Natsu no Shouzou/Summer Portrait", which includes 15 lyrical songs. The Spotify version only has 9 of them, missing "Natsu no Shouzou/Summer Portrait", "Yukiguni/Snow Country", "Pas de Deux", "Kutsu no Hanabi/Fireworks Beneath My Shoes (Re-Recording)", "Sayounara Morten/Goodbye Morten", and "Isana/Whale". These 5 songs can only be (legally) accessed by scanning their respective painting (jacket cover) in the artbook album. But since 4 of the 6 are performed in Dance of Moon and Cat 2024, which is available publically for free (and is a rerun of the 2023 tour of the same name), 'technically' only "Pas de Deux" and "Summer Portrait" remain artbook-exclusive. They did perform those and "Ryoujin to Umi/Old Man and the Sea" in the original 2023 tour though (in the 2023 run, the concert fully consisted of Gentou/Magic Lantern songs only). Chapter 2 is called "Odoru Doubutsu/Dancing Animals", and it contains 10 mostly instrumental songs, each corresponding to an animal we see in the Dance of Cat and Moon concert story. "Dai Ichiya/First Night" is the only song with lyrics in Chapter 2, because the animal it corresponds to is human. This is also the only song from Chapter 2 included in the Spotify version. If you remember the 'painting scene' with the owl in the concert, the instrumental song played during that bit is from Chapter 2, called "Dai Goya/Fifth Night", and it (along with its painting) corresponds with the owl. While the instrumental song in the concert's credits is "Dai Jyuuya/Tenth Night", about the cat. Second (frog), Third (bat), Fourth (deer), Sixth (rabbit), Seventh (canary), Eighth (insect), and Ninth (chameleon) are still artbook exclusive as of now. The way the artbook works is there's a QR you can scan to go to a website. There, you can login with the serial number printed on your artbook copy. And then you can use the website's AR feature to scan the paintings in the artbook to listen to the songs. It's a bit of a hassle to do cuz each time you wanna switch songs you have to scan the painting. But the paintings are really nice so can't say I regret getting a copy. The artbook also has the lyrics. The artbook says there's a streaming deadline, which is March 31st 2026. After that, the songs will be available for download until the end of June 2026. But I'm not sure if it's only available for download for those who have the artbook or for the general public. I'm pretty sure the official Twitter said the exclusive songs will be made public 3 years after the release (back in 2023) but I don't know if it's gonna be that April-June 2026 period or if it's gonna have a different schedule. Sorry that was long, but hopefully it helps.
