They talked about Mom and grandma everytime, also pray for them everytime. Dad most probably did something hurtful to the family hence nobody talks about him in the house

Akari (onee chan) just said before about how they used to spend new Year's Eve together, her and her family (including her mom, her grandma, and her dad) and how akari, mom and grandma busy cleaning while others sleeping in front of the TV. She'll cry if Rei's not here because she'd ended up cleaning by herself while remembering about her mom, grandma (and maybe dad)
