Right? So ridiculous

Sodaheiress

Wow, now trying to attack me in that way because I destroyed you...that totally doesn't PROVE you are objectively wrong...and why should I prove it to you, given that if you ever had either of those things, it would have to be something as pathetically hypocritical, retarded, and even subhuman as you are...I could say I'll give you a thousand dollars to prove otherwise, but you don't deserve that money, let alone a place on this planet...the fact that I even wrote all that out when you even more so demonstrated your retardation and inability to admit so with that question means I'm being generous...you truly are the bottom of the barrel of humanity...ha, because I insult a thing like you to death, I've never had a friend or girlfriend...nice one 😂😂😂😂😂😂...literally, how subhuman and retarded are you trying to prove yourself to be...why are you trying to demonstrate your deficiency more and more with every comment??? Oh right, because you are so deficient, you actually think you have something to say when you are not even basically functioning, and think you can insult me...Jesus Christ, it never stops with things like you on the internet...this is exactly the kinda shit that Bret bashes , just not hard enough...AND YOU ARE ON HIS PODCAST seriously, there is a certain chair with a certain electric shock...sit in one and maybe humanity will have some hope for the future...Adolf is justified now, thanks to your existence...that's just science

Neil G.

I’ll give you 100 dollars if you can prove you had a girlfriend… or even a friend… in your life.

M. Nero Nava

Loves any and all CONTENT that is shoved down his throat, is Anti-Trump and an Eagles Hater….how original!!!

Brian Borough

I love how he makes it a point to inhale deeply after ending every statement. Not annoying at all!

Brian Borough

A bunch, yeah. But he’s from that era for sure. Heat & Sunlight is his big one

M. Nero Nava

You still have the runs??

J Hay

Didn’t he make some features on videotape? I saw at least 1.

J Hay

I don’t recall those titles at all. Maybe I’m not the only one.

J Hay

So many movie experiences for me. “The Exorcist”,’ which I first saw in the same cinema which Bret mentioned (The National, in Westwood), with several school friends. There was a L-O-N-G line that took hours to get through. Great movie, nonetheless. I also saw a sneak preview of “Halloween” (in Long Beach, where I lived); I’m still not a fan of that one. Kinda dull, with some dumb characters. I prefer “Halloween 3”. I also saw “Star Wars” at the Chinese Theater. I also liked “All of Us Strangers” and “Strange Darling”. Waiting for the blended sequel: “All of Us Strange Darlings” :) “Challengers” and “Love Lies Bleeding” were also very good.

J Hay

Yes, and your retarded pseudo-insightful comment is exactly what I expected..."yeah, I'll sit down with people I disagree with, chill the fuck out bruh" is what you write when you praise someone so obviously retarded, both politically and artistically, like Josh Olson...that is the objective point I was making; his whole "movie podcast" is a bastion of anti-intellectual idiocy that is, by the way, very woke-tarded...something that Bret despises, but doesn't realize in certain people...you, on the other hand, are trying to lecture me about my "wackiness" and trying to condescend to me, which is something that someone like you would do because you are so deficient, you think you can, on top of not knowing anything..."you're so wacky, your entertaining"...you are so desperate to try and sound like you know anything and you are above me...write out another long, bullshit, pseudo-insightful lecture...it's a miracle you can write at all 😂😂😂 "They usually talk about movies and art"...JOSH OLSON KNOWS VERY LITTLE ABOUT ANY OF THAT STUFF...THE FACT THAT YOU DON'T SEE IT 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Neil G.

Cmon this guy likes everything. He cried at end of Megalopolis. Sorry dude I love Coppola too but get real. "I watch Charley Verrick every year." Great movie but stop crying. And The Omen is "Exorcist light." Gimme a break. Cry me a river.

Alexander Quattlander

What are you talking about, man? I’m a “fan”? “you are not cause you don’t…” I usually block all the looneys in BEE’s comments, but you’re so wacky, you’re almost entertaining. He was a good guest, they talked about movies and art, that’s usually what this beloved podcast is about. I’ve listened to every episode since the beginning. The only ones I’ve ever skipped were when it got overtly political, but for the most part I’ll enjoy talks with folks I disagree with, because the show is that good. So, take a breath, slow down, and chill the fuck out

M. Nero Nava

I picture this guy with a beard.

Phoenix

yes, I actually have this thing called basic logic...you are not cause you don't, and that's why you're a Josh Olson fan-tard...off this planet is where you and him should go, and anything that even mildly supports him

Neil G.

Agreed.

Paul Richardson

Are you ok?

M. Nero Nava

YOU'D BETTER BE SARCASTIC 😂😂😂

Neil G.

no need for that you just make yourself look more retarded than you already are by trying to mock me...you mock humanity by being a Josh Olson fan

Neil G.

wow, did I hurt your retarded feelings so much cause I very simply/accurately described how your retarded podcast idol is such a retard??? awwwwww, now you're actually trying to make fun o' me cause you're so retarded, you think you can when you like Josh Olson??? 😂😂😂 Notice how practically everyone here despises him 😂😂😂 "WOW, THIS GUY THINKS HE'S MORE INSIGHTFUL THAN JOSH FUCKING OLSON" 😂😂😂😂😂😂 And that BB question was from a long time ago...what, are you so desperate to try to get me (which you cannot scientifically do) that you stalk me??? Is this what all the Josh Olson fan-tards are like 😂😂😂😂😂

Neil G.

The Apprentice is the most underrated movie of the year, it's fantastic

T Frick

Bret sure SOUNDS like he watches everything with his arms folded.

Johnny Blade

Bret should get Christian Bale on.

Dave Mason

I’d like to read this young trump script, please

Terrible Records

Nobody seems to like this guest but I want to go rent the Korean whorehouse snake killer movie now

Keith campbell

I wonder if Bret still has his ‘Three Women’ action figures?

Dan Palmer

Most enjoyable conversation in a long time. Loved it.

Rory Kiberd

STILL IN A PANDEMIC UGHH

Stephen

This guy. Josh Olson. Digital podcast gold. This season is soooo good

Seneca Garcia

Emote much?

Big E

Agreed. I think it may also be Coppola’s.

Paul Richardson

Rumble Fish is one of my favourites.

Iain

Megalopolis fucking sucked man sorry. It was laughably shitty. I love a History of Violence but this guy is a fucking clown.

Joseph Murphy

I can’t believe I walked out of a Coppola movie but megalopolis was that bad

Harold B

Bret should consider bringing Joe Bob Briggs on the podcast. It would make for a fun discussion of schlock horror and exploitation films in my opinion.

James Bandy

I had Seth Rogen too but dressed like Robin Williams in Good Will Hunting.

Claude Henry Smoot

Same, and I think most wont.

R. M.

I think TETRO is underrated.

R. M.

Great TV from 2013 I never hear anyone mention: all seasons of Banshee, Rectify.

Ski Milius

Rawr

clay

I know Bret isn’t a fan but One From the Heart has become one of my favourite Coppola films, much to my surprise.

Paul Richardson

I made the effort to see Wolfs in the theater like a goddamn adult and had a wonderful time.

Richard Raymond

I often wonder what, if any, are the recent movies that will be considered classics 50 years from now.

Andrew Lapointe

If Bret ever finished watching Breaking Bad––gripping stuff.

Max

How do I get in on these movie nights? That sounds fun. Ha I worked for a director named Rob Nilsson, he use to have movie night. Often we’d watch super subversive, barely enjoyable and transgressive films… somehow it was always fun.

M. Nero Nava

What was your question?

M. Nero Nava

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

David Willis

am going to listen on my run. will say more later, after my run.

richard owain roberts

I wish there were more cool movies to take my 11 year old daughter to nowadays because I would love for her to have memories of “movies my dad took me to” like I do. (Tho, I think he mostly just got us into and dropped me and my friends off at rated R movies then left to go drinking and meet women at the mall bar for a few hours). Also, love a Philly boy guest on here. Great ep! 🦅

Patrick

I pictured this guy as Seth Rogan dressed up as a mall Santa, inexplicably

ck kane

wow, instead of answering my platinum question, you have this retard that calls himself a film fan (let alone a functioning person) on the air...nice goin' Bret 😂😂😂

Neil G.

We're back to referring to Andrew Scott as "Andrew Stone" haha, come on Bret! By the way, "Ripley" is probably gonna end up being my favorite show of 2024. The latest season of "Fargo" was great as well and with so much shit being released now it's easy to forget that even happened. I'd love to see "Sugar" on Apple ("Killers of the Flower Moon" and "Napoleon" too), but I don't feel good about subscribing and supporting them because they don't support physical media. Gotta take a stand somewhere when it comes to supporting film and physical media. Atleast Netflix occasionally licenses their titles to Criterion for home video releases.
