The story is doing this JJ Abrams black box thing where we’re dangling along waiting for a reason why were watching (which never comes) but there’s no motivation for me to follow any of these characters. I don’t know the stakes, the context of anyone’s relationship. I believe the short format may not be helping, and I know BEE is basically a literature living legend, but this series...I don’t know, am I missing something?
