-----------------------------
Nomu wasted no time after fully recovering, rushing toward Bakugo with a speed that was nearly impossible for the students to track.
For Bakugo, time seemed to freeze as the monstrous creature appeared before him, its massive frame blocking out everything else. ‘I’m dead…’ Bakugo thought, his body incapable of moving in time, as Nomu’s fist cocked back for a devastating blow.
But in a flash of movement too fast for the eye to follow, All Might appeared. He shoved Bakugo aside with a powerful yet precise motion and took Nomu’s punch head-on, raising his guard at the last second to absorb the blow.
The force of Nomu’s punch sent All Might skidding across the ground, leaving deep gouges in the concrete before he slammed into the wall of the USJ with a loud crash.
“KACCHAN!” Midoriya screamed, his voice filled with panic as his gaze darted toward Bakugo. His fear dissipated slightly when he saw that Bakugo was unharmed.
“You were able to dodge that?!” Midoriya asked in amazement
Still on the ground, Bakugo gritted his teeth in frustration. “You must be joking. I didn’t even see it.”
As the dust settled from the impact, the students could see All Might standing against the wall. His stance was firm, his expression fierce and unwavering despite the visible strain.
“Anything to save a comrade, right?” Shigaraki said mockingly, his tone dripping with amusement as he watched All Might struggle to regain his footing.
Shiro, who was watching the battle intently, was still crouched down with his decayed finger steaming, still regenerating. ‘This battle is moving too fast for me to keep up,’ he thought, frustration building in his chest. ‘If I can help by just being a shield for my classmates, then so be it.’
Climbing to his feet, Shiro walked past Nomu and Shigaraki without hesitation, his towering Titan form positioning itself directly in front of his classmates. He crouched down in front of them, creating an impenetrable barrier between them and the ongoing battle.
“S-Shiro…” Midoriya said hesitantly, looking up at the massive figure crouching before them.
“Aren’t you going to help out?” Midoriya asked, his voice filled with concern.
Shiro remained silent for a moment, his eyes still focused on All Might. ‘If I could, I would,’ he thought, gripping his fists tightly. ‘When an opening arrives, I’ll take it, but for now, I’ll sit this out. I’ll have to give up on the mission..’
Noticing Shiro’s passive stance, Shigaraki sneered, his lips curling into a twisted grin. “Giving up so soon? I guess it’s game over for you.”
Ignoring Shigaraki’s taunts, Shiro thought to himself, ‘If things go the way they did in the show, Nomu should be flying into the sky in a minute from now. Then we’ll see who it’s game over for.’
Hearing Shigaraki’s words, All Might pressed his hand against the wall for leverage and pushed himself upright. His eyes burned with determination as he began walking back toward Nomu, his steps firm despite his earlier setback.
Kirishima, growing impatient with Shigaraki’s mocking tone, shouted, “Don’t let him talk to you like that, Shiro! They’re outnumbered six to three! We can still do this!”
The students, except for Shiro, nodded in agreement, their resolve reigniting at Kirishima’s words.
All Might dashed forward, appearing in front of the students in an instant. Stretching out his hand protectively, he declared, “No! Get out of here.”
Todoroki, his stance unwavering, retorted, “Things wouldn’t have gone so well if we hadn’t intervened.”
Midoriya, nodding in agreement, added, “All Might, you’re bleeding, and your time is almost—” He stopped himself abruptly, realizing he was about to reveal All Might’s secret.
All Might interrupted him with a wide grin, his voice booming. “Right you are, Todoroki! So thanks for that! But fear not! Sit back and watch a pro get serious!”
Todoroki’s expression remained skeptical, but he decided that it wasn’t the time to argue and instead kept quiet. ‘I’ll be ready to step in whenever I feel you're in danger..’ he thought to himself.
All Might turned toward Nomu, clenching his fists as his expression grew deadly serious, however never losing the grin.
Shigaraki cracked his knuckles with his thumb, his grin widening into something maniacal. “Nomu, Kurogiri… I’ll take care of the children.” Without hesitation, Shigaraki lunged toward the students, his hand outstretched.
“He’s coming, Shiro! Get ready!” Kirishima yelled, his voice urgent as he prepared for Shigaraki’s attack.
All Might, clenching both fists tightly, muttered under his breath, “The kids are in danger… I’ll have to push past my limits…”
Shigaraki’s rapid approach closed the distance between him and the students, but just before he could reach them, a powerful gust of wind roared through the USJ.
“Why?” All Might’s voice rang out, filled with emotion, before he roared, “BECAUSE I AM THE SYMBOL OF PEACE!”
In a burst of speed that defied logic, All Might dashed past Shigaraki, moving so fast that even Shiro’s Metavision couldn’t track him. The gust of wind halted Shigaraki’s dash and caused him to turn around to watch, a bad feeling rising inside of him.
Nomu stood ready, pulling back its fist to meet All Might head-on.
The moment their fists collided, a massive shockwave erupted, shaking the entire USJ facility to its core. The walls trembled, and debris rained down from above.
Their clash wasn’t over. All Might and Nomu unleashed a relentless flurry of punches, their blows echoing across the arena.
Slowly but surely, All Might began gaining the upper hand. Each of his punches landed harder and faster, forcing Nomu to stagger back under the unrelenting assault.
“He’s pushing him back… but he’s coughing up blood too…” Midoriya muttered, his voice tinged with awe and concern.
Kirishima, Bakugo, and Todoroki watched in amazement.
“All Might’s incredible…” Kirishima whispered, his admiration clear.
Shiro, crouching at the front, clenched his fists so tightly that his titan muscles tensed visibly. ‘The gap between us is so large… I wasn’t even able to dent Nomu with any of my punches.’
Shigaraki, noticing Nomu losing ground, scratched aggressively at his neck. “Damn it… Nomu! What are you doing?!” he yelled, his frustration boiling over.
All Might didn’t let up. His punches came faster and harder, driving Nomu further back. “A hero is always ready to smash through trouble!” All Might roared, his voice reverberating around the arena.
He tilted his body lower, taking advantage of a brief gap between him and Nomu, pulling back his fist for the final time.
“PLUS ULTRA!” All Might bellowed, pouring every ounce of his strength into an upward punch.
Nomu’s body exploded upward from the sheer force of the attack, its mouth opening as it soared through the air. The power behind the punch was so immense, that the wind coming from it pushed even Shiro’s titan form back.
As the dust settled and silence overtook the battlefield, Shigaraki stood frozen. His teeth ground together, and his bloodshot eyes watered with frustration.
“YOU CHEATED!” Shigaraki screeched, his voice cracking as he stomped in place like a petulant child.
All Might stood still, a wide grin plastered on his face. ‘If I move an inch… my form will become undone…’ he thought, holding his ground despite his visible strain.
Shiro, observing All Might closely, thought, ‘He’s reached his limit..’
Wrapping his large Titan hand around All Might, Shiro carefully lifted him and nodded. He turned his gaze toward Kurogiri and Shigaraki, preparing for their next move.
“It’s not fair! He’s not weak at all! I was lied to!” Shigaraki whined, his tantrum escalating as he clawed at his neck.
Kurogiri, calm and composed, placed a hand on Shigaraki’s shoulder. “We’ve failed this time, but it won’t happen again. We need to retreat. That blue-haired boy is not something we can currently handle, without Nomu, even if All Might is beat up.” Kurogiri admitted.
Shigaraki’s frustrated expression softened slightly, though his glare remained fixed on All Might and Shiro.
As Kurogiri opened a portal, Shigaraki snarled, “You had your fun this time, All Might, but next time, I’ll have mine.”
Shiro, refusing to let them escape, lunged toward Shigaraki and Kurogiri with his massive Titan hand outstretched, all while carefully ensuring he didn't harm All Might, who was held in his other hand.
But before he could reach them, they vanished into the swirling portal.
