June 2023 short story poll
Added 2023-06-11 11:07:40 +0000 UTCSorry for the late poll, everyone! It's late for the same reason as the book 7 paperback- my grandfather passed away recently, and I've had an almost complete lack of spoons for anything but videogames and arguing on the internet lately. (I wish I'd lacked the spoons for arguing on the internet, honestly.)
Just two short story options this month- I definitely haven't had the energy for writing another short story just yet.
- Theomachies Plural (Non-Aetheriad): There have been a lot of good reasons through history to rebel against the heavens. This foul-mouthed succubus from upstate New York, however, is joining the revolution because she can't afford her damned (literally) student loans. (Inspired by China Mieville. Very foul language.)
- Basilisk Street Issue 1 (Non-Aetheriad): The first issue of the script for a graphic novel I wrote around 2011-2012. It's, well... clumsy compared to my modern writing in a lot of ways, but far from irredeemable. Pretty standard "secret government agency" story in the first few issues, specifically an agency dedicated to monitoring, controlling, and shutting down exotic weaponry- linguistic weaponry, death symphonies, grey goo, that sort of thing. Whenever readers vote for this one, it will start a run of all five issues over the next five months- but that won't interfere with regular short stories. So the first Basilisk Street month, you just get Basilisk Street 1, but the next four months, you'll get Basilisk Street plus a short story! Extra value!
