November 2021 Short Story Poll
Added 2021-10-26 14:38:34 +0000 UTCNote: Whoops, forgot to, you know, include the actual poll on the last version of the post. (I swear, I'll get it right one of these months, lol.)
Time to vote on next month's story! You'll note there are fewer story options this time around- haven't come up with any new, compelling story ideas this month, and I temporarily took The Shape of Memory off the list, because I seriously don't have the energy to work on a science story involving that much research this month. (Busy plugging away at book 6 at the moment!)
- The Castle Thief: Solintus the Patient is ironically named, because he’s anything but patient. What the colossal great power wants, he gets, and he’s sent his servant Lane to the frigid karst city of Calo’s Watch to negotiate the purchase of the city’s fortress. Lane has a week until Solintus arrives, and one way or another, their master is taking the castle away with him. Something is rotten in Calo’s Watch, though, and it’s not the peat mines.
- Glory Days: Three Helicotan Lords Citizen tell stories around a campfire, as they rest on their hunt for a notorious face-changing outlaw. Set during the glory days of Helicote.
- Who Killed Seltivor Cloudscale?: In the waning days of the Ithonian Empire, bandits and rogue great powers swarm like flies in its provinces. Seltivor Cloudscale was one of the worst of the lot, performing daring raids deep into the heart of the Ithonian Empire, and earning himself a bounty large enough to buy a small city. When the dragon is finally slain, though, there’s one problem: No less than a dozen mages claim to have been the true dragonslayer.
- Ghost Ship: The crew of a pirate vessel finds a ghost ship at sea, a smuggler filled with precious silks and spices. There is no sign of the crew, and few clues save for an increasingly deranged captain’s log that speaks of the end of the world and something monstrous devouring the horizon.

The day you get it right first try is the day we break out the magnets, cuz you've been replaced by a robot from the future.
