Also, if you've not checked him out yet, Brennan --and anyone else!--you should check out Phil Ochs, a really awesome American folk singer and journalist from the 1960s

Any time I see it referenced out in the wild I get ecstatic, so the fact that the opening to the soundtrack was influential enough to fit into Ame's playlist... there are no words!! ❤❤

TT_TT Ame cares for others before herself so often that her story would've become even more tragic than it already is. I'm glad Fox exists to protect Ame and remind her to care about herself, too.

Also: "Sometimes to be someone’s guardian angel, you must also be the devil on their shoulder. Put differently: Maybe guidance looks like temptation in a world where doing what’s expected isn’t the same as doing what’s right." This encapsulates what I like about Brennan's storytelling perfectly. His characters always have such a clear, sharp, specific ethical framework that describes how they view and relate to the status quo of the world around them. Even when it's just a little fox.

I am but a silly lil forest critter ((not the actual play kind but rather little critter crica: "just go to bed" or "just so mad" )) in the big hooman scape metropolis of Denver. A safe refuge for the aloudly queer and oh so audaciously autistic, but not so much a vibe for truest part of myself that would prefers singing to trees naked in the moonlit on warm rainy nights bc it would rude of me to leave them without accompaniment for such a grand occasion. These Playlist and the linear notes truly touched my soul in a deep, you burnt this cd for me and you def want it back so of course I'll listen to it while painting sets grey again for one act play competition. I'm really going through it rn~☆ but nothing is as heavy as hard work without the right jams. I mean this in the best possible way. If real life was a movie this cast and crew of WBN would be the staff of Empire Records. Damn the man! Save the Empire!
