Hello everyone! ^v^

How have you all been doing? I’ve been a bit out if it, I must admit. Extremely tired and harried due to various things, but I’m doing my best to try to keep it together! We’ll make it through!

Announcements and Business

As always want to send out my thanks once again to everyone who supports my Patreon!

Once again, I’ve got some changes coming at the end of this month, I’ll start drafting them out this week and you might see some updates to the front page of the patreon this coming week or next week. I’ll try and have it done by Beltane (May 1st) so you all will know what you’re getting into come the beginning of next month and can decide if you want to up your pledges or remove them.

This was on last week’s announcements but just so you remember there will be no Sketch on the Spot on Friday, April 21st! The 21st is the GSU Day at Six Flags over Atlanta and that was really fun last year so we’re going again this year, so I’ll be gone until late that night! Next week SotS will return to normal.

I talked about the stuff for SotS and my commissions last week, so here’s a cut/paste of what I said then. If you already know about it, feel free to skip forward.

After I clear out my commission queue, I’m making an important change to my commissions/SotS arrangement. It’s become clear to me that I cannot adequately do the comic, do commissions and run SotS all at the same time. I want to keep the comic updating regularly so that means I’m going to have to drop either doing commissions or doing SotS. So, since I don’t want to do either of those permanently, I’m going to run them in two month blocks so the people who want SotS get a chance to get those, and the people who want bigger commissions get a chance to do that. That way I’ll get to see what’s more profitable and I won’t be super swamped all the time and keep having to put things off or make changes.

When I get close to getting done with my queue, I’ll put up a poll so that you all can decide which you want to go first, and then I’ll settle in.

I wish I could maintain both, but since I’m trying to keep up the comic once a week, I need to be able to focus stuff down and doing SotS & the comic means I only have one day a week to do anything else if I don’t want to edge into stuff with friends and family on the weekends.

Now just to be clear, I’m not STOPPING doing either. Not yet. I’m just giving them their own space so I can stay on top of things.

So we’re going to give that a shot and see how it goes!

The lines are done! I’m working on the background stuff now and I was talking with Middy about what needs to be taken care of. The background stuff is kind of boring and I have to finagle some stuff with layers and merging before I can really work on it much more so I won’t be streaming that this week until I get started with the character coloring.

The reception to the latest page was really good, even if the total number of views were a little lower overall for the weekend (probably because of Easter).

I have been getting a little run down, but I’m doing my best to keep pace!

Money’s going to be a little tight (because I’m not getting any income this week) so hopefully we’ll be able to change that soon and I can knock out some commissions to get things rolling again!
