I keep forgetting that Fugisawa is the first guy Sei's ever been in a "relationship" with, so he hasn't had sex with a man before. So it makes the love scene even more emotional with how connected they are. They are both highly repressed, created a bond as strangers into friends, gave/received intimacy to the other, and experienced sex with a man for the first time together. Hagiwara is already a very considerate man, and he made sure that Sei was comfortable prior and during their hotel getaway.

It's a shame they both got stuck in these fractured relationships with two people who won't allow them to even express their frustrations. Every time they try they get shut down or avoided. But they were still willing to endure it, even though, like Sei said in the second episode, staying with someone like that just means being gently rejected forever.
