16:24 i am obviously so late to the party and it probably doesnt matter - but the pot that yall were talking about at 16:24 is purposely put there. it's a pot of some paper/charcoal/ash on fire that's meant to be a mini ritual for people returning from bad things (like going to jail), to ward off bad luck or burn it away or something. Person returning is supposed to cross over it in one stride same thing ritualistic about the meal/noodles that Ai Di was supposed to eat
