That last build was even more of a mess than I was expecting. Im headed to bed, but I just uploaded a new one with some of the issues fixed. Its now running on an even more Untested New System, so I'm sure it has a fuck ton of bugs, too. But yeah! I'll fix them soon!

I think they're suggesting the opposite, combat not ending until either the player or the monster comes. I think that makes more sense from a theming perspective as well, and it would probably fix some of the things that are frustrating me about combat right now.

oh, not quite. I wasn't talking about the monsters leaving and coming back - i was talking about the player. right now, the player shows up to fuck and starts using cards. when the player runs out of cards or combos, she flees the battle and takes some heat. that part at the end of the interaction is what I would want to change. Kat has just put the moves on a monster, but it wasn't enough to make them cum. so Kat walks away from the monster? and this causes Kat to get closer to cumming? I think Kat needs to take some heat for failing to finish the monster off in one turn. but I'd rather she stay in battle, take some heat from an opponent's advances, and then try again with some new cards.

I agree that there's some UI stuff that needs work. Im also not a fan of the select card effect. It was hastily done and I plan on fixing it at some point. Also, so. Your idea for combat is that Regardless of whether a monster cums, it leaves the stage after combat?

come prepared is a card thats very similar to Down Time. Currently, its only appears in the second stage, and only 20% of the time.

omg im glad the coil whine is reduced!! I set it to fixed FPS 240, but at some point i'll let FPS cap be a player option. Also, the lack of Big Boss Reward between stages is something Im gonna change at some point :D

This game seems closer to traditional deck builders & slay the spire, but as a balatro addict, I feel like there's a lot of inspiration y'all could potentially take from that game too! Great artists steal and what not. To be more specific, some ideas from balatro: - I don't love the colored outline when selecting a card. Having the card rise up when selected feels good. - similar gamefeel thing, but it would be nice to be able to pick up and drag cards into different orders. the way balatro does it feels really satisfying - more of a big picture gameplay idea here, but, what if you could select multiple cards and play them all at once? in balatro the limit is 5 at a time, but 3 would make more sense here. you can drag your cards in to the right order for a combo and fire it off all at once - this would feel more satisfying than playing cards one at a time - similarly, what if you could select cards from your hand to discard, and be replaced with other cards from your deck (during a fight). i imagine there being an associated heat penalty for taking this action - maybe some characters/decks get one for free, but others are more punishing. walking into a fight and not having the right cards feels bad. i'd rather stay in the fight and take some damage than leave and come back. - on that note, leaving and coming back doesn't really feel like it makes sense for a game where combat is sex. i'd rather combat felt more "sticky" - once you start a fight, you're incentivized to see it through to the end. discarding to mill through your deck is a mechanic that would really change the game from where it is right now, in the direction of increasing player power & agency. I think that's the right direction to go right now, and if it feels too strong, monsters can be buffed too!

Beg's card art is missing, Bite Lip is fixed now (it was doing self-Heat, wasn't doing enemy Heat though). Haven't checked Mind Break and Mirror Form's wording, nor Down Time's combat effect (where it was letting you Forget cards if you selected "gain 1 Coin next turn" during combat). Insult to Injury/Deep Kisses is still broken, now unbuyable so at least the hard-lock isn't accessible. Still haven't seen Come Prepared yet.

thanks for the update! going to edit this post with stuff as I notice it. as far as capital-b Bugs go, Insult To Injury is unbuyable and displays Deep Kiss when you try to select it from the field, also Deep Kiss never actually spawns so they're like both broken. I finally beat stage 1! echoing somebody else's feelings about not liking my deck resetting but my heat staying where it's at when I get to stage 2. they should either both stay or both reset, and I'd prefer them both staying. also, this is a like in the grand scheme of things suggestion but it'd be cool if you could edit your starter deck over time so that there's a sense of progression from run to run. oh also the coil whine seems to be mostly fixed? I can still hear it a little bit but it's way less noticeable now.
