A poll!

So the machine system is partially done! I'm really excited to have the entirety of next month to implement it and I'm brainstorming ways to make it extra cool. Just a reminder of basically how it will work before I start asking for input: Different models of Fuck-Machine will be collectible through scenes and deployable at certain locations on the map for NPCs to pay to use, allowing HC to make some passive income per day. Feel free to post any thoughts here! One thing I'm specifically contemplating is: 

Should the Machines be craftable? 

and by extension, how would you all feel about more RPG type mechanics in this game? Crafting would require an ingredient collecting mechanic, which could work well with a repeatable exploration system, which I could make extra fancy with a character attribute system, but I dunno.

I'm not too hot on the idea, but if it is just minimal stuff then it'll probably be fine.

yes, for sure, I wouldnt be trying to encourage grind, I'd be trying to enable choice. Like, what machine should I use my [decently common resource] to build? Or should I spend it to upgrade a machine? Something like that I think would be cool.

Crafting might be ok as long as it isn't too grindy. Needing 5 of something you only get from 1 scene with a 1/3 chance that you can only try once a day would get annoying fast. Maybe something like, one part you get from a story scene, on part you can get from some background trashcan, and one part you have to buy from a store or something like that. Spread the components out to reward exploring a little

Adding crafting mechanics instantaneously makes a game dated.

I do think some passive income is a great idea - and it contributes to the mood of like, getting up on your feet in a new place, creating something sustainable.
