Aaannd, I have now converted my workflow and this whole scene and models into the new Eevee rendering engine in Blender 2.8, which allows me to render things faster and higher resolution. So basically, I'll be making this scene into a lot longer animation than I have ever done so far, I think.
So here's some previews pics. I'll be posting some higher res video clips as well when I get around some crashes with the renderer.
