Side Stories Poll Announcement (May 2024)

Hey guys!

As mentioned previously, we wanted to give our highest tier Patrons ($15 Tempest tier) the chance to vote on polls deciding the next side stories we’ll focus on.

We’ve been toying with different ideas for a while now, and we’ve finally settled on something we feel will be fair for everyone.

To keep a long story short, there will be two polls: one for SFW side stories, and another for NSFW ones. We realized leaving both options together in one poll would probably end up in a landslide victory for the NSFW side stories. This means you’ll be voting for us not to just make one, but two side stories. It’s going to be a lot of work, but we’d like to deliver more content to you guys, even when we have to delay builds and all.

That said, I’d like to address some potential issues:

1. I know some of you might be concerned we’re letting the public have input on the story, but rest assured, these are all ideas we’ve had in the back of our mind that we would otherwise never have the chance or opportunity to bring to the forefront.

2. I’m pretty sure everyone’s noticed by now, but Santa Lucia doesn’t really do “gratuitous NSFW” all that often (minus a certain scene with Ben early on, heh). We considered different ways to write more… sex-focused stories while still keeping the characters interesting and believable. As such, we had the idea of introducing “What if” stories in the polls. These stories can be considered alternate takes on an event in Santa Lucia. While not influencing the main story directly, they’ll still give some insight into character relationships had things gone differently from the main storyline. Ever wondered what Carlos and Bryan might be up to if Ben is on Nate’s route? Or maybe you’ve always thought to yourself… what if Russell’s troubles never happened? Well, you might be able to know now!

3. I won’t put my foot in mouth and give any ETA or timeline as to when these side stories will be done. Expect a few months at the very least.

4. We might still put out side stories other than the ones listed relating to the main story. It depends on how things go, of course, but don’t assume we gave up on these if that happens.

5. The polls will run for two weeks, and close at the end of the month of May. Make sure to get your votes in if you qualify ($15 Tempest tier)!

F) Coming to Terms (Kane)

A young Kane has his first crush...but it isn’t with the kind of person he expected.

NSFW story options:

What if Bryan joined the other frat alongside Diego?

B) (What if) Don’t Change, Don’t Break (Bryan and Carlos)

What if Bryan gave Carlos more...personal advice when it came to seducing Ben?

C) (What if) The Thing that Fills (the Void) (Russell and Ben)

A cocky and carefree Russell starts an on-again, off-again relationship with a guy he met on the plane flight from Chicago.

D) (What if) Measure it in Words (Nate and Niall)

Niall resents Nate, but an intervention from Addy makes him realize things he feels about the fox aren’t quite like what they seem to be.

E) (What if) Just Between Roommates (Ben and Zach)

What if things got steamy between the roommates after the shower scene?

F) (What if) A Simple Fantasy (Zach + others)

What if Zach got really comfortable with the no clothes arrangement in the dorm room?
