Beat Banger Updated Auto CI/CD
Added 2024-12-05 21:53:31 +0000 UTCApologies for the nerd speak ๐ค, but this is an important update for those who enjoy getting early access builds. I've updated the auto continuous integration and deployment Pipeline for Beat Banger.
In English, you guys will receive a Beat Banger update every time I push it.
Previously, you would only receive updates after I completed a specific feature and then ran my build script to send it to the itch.io page. But now, every single change I make will be pushed to you the instant I make it. This CI should work for Windows, Mac, and Linux, and we'll also make deployment to Steam much easier in the future.
I'm looking into ways to notify patrons whenever the pipeline has been updated. So soon, I'll be looking into making a script for creating automatic posts on Discord or Patreon that are triggered whenever I push an update.
On top of that, we've got a lot more volume 2 content in the works, and I'll be posting more about that very soon โจโจ

2024-12-06 07:21:47 +0000 UTCIf itch has a RSS feed you theoretically could do some jank setup with IFTTT or something that can link directly to patreon - IFTTT can link to discord if you really want. I use fetchrss to make RSS feeds of websites, but it does cost a little bit. There's an open sourced version that doesn't cost, I forget the technical limitations and the name of it but it does similar things. RSS -> IFTTT -> Discord Channel or RSS -> my.monitorss.xyz/ (More fine tuned) -> Discord Channel For itch direct integration... Uuuurrrhh ๐คท If you're auto building using something like GitHub, I believe it has a built-in webhook caller iirc I very much like techy insider stuff, and I also am one for mcgyver-ing things which go hand in hand so I get kinda geeked on stuff like this lol
