50K Celebration project - A new Overatch character 4 + More info

(More info is Dva's current set but more on that later)

Hey there,
So I took this month off of creating new sets so I can actually finish this project / char.
I am happy how the geometry and forms turned out.
What you see on the left and right sight are respectively high and low poly version -> the cool details on the left will be printed on the right one which will be used for pictures, animations and what not.

There are 4 big parts (5 but the first one is not relevant here:
1) Concepting and gathering inspo (the one that is not relevant here)
2) Creating a high poly version - stuff like guns and what not can be added later too
3) We are here right now - Creating a low poly version.

This step is the most annoying most often. Its like washing the dishes after eating.
You want to make it the first time right otherwise you need to clean it again which is annoying.

The catch here is that I finished the highpoly model by 95% (for the 1.0 release).
There is not much sculpting left so this will be done fairly quickly.
In short: I will get the low poly version done this week.


4+5 can be done simultaneously
4) I then unrwap -> make it texture ready which is fairly easy and then we come to be big part. Texturing. This can take a bit like a week or 10 days. This depends how quickly I understand Overwatch texture style.

5) This is something my friend NORN (@NORN3D) will do for me. He will rig -> give the model bones so she can pose and be animated. He will be a immense help for me:D
(It's not like I cant rig but he is way better with that + I can spend that time on texturing.

So all in all I am where I expected to be with the character regardless:D
I think I will be done with her around the 24 or so (this is not a promise though xd)

I got asked to make some Wallpaper and also there is the addtional content I promised.

I will do that in the following days.

Addtional content:
- Leggings version will be easy. I already started with it so making some pictures wont take too long.
- As for her red suit I don't know what I need to fix to make it work but I will have a look at it later.
- The Frieren cosplay tied for first place so I will make a version with that too.
This one is not as easy for I have a whole week at the end of the month.
To be honnest I'm quite exited for the Frieren one:D
(fun fact: Frieren means to freeze or being cold in german.)

There is the least voted option from last poll. I saw how many people liked this version so I will keep it in the back of my mind for later.

Lastly, I'd like to share a bit of "insight" from myself.

So much stuff went wrong in the last 30 days...
But it was not all bad, good things still happen even though they are not as pronounced.
This is a small reminder for me that no matter what one should always look forward.
