Lots of changes coming for CATC! Here is a summary of what to expect:
1) Command Console.
This can be accessed with F1 key. Not much functionality yet, but will come in the future. It has many improvements over the HRT version, such as supporting copy and pasting, and a outputs area to see what commands you entered so far.

2) New front hair and back hair options.
Added almost 20 new hair parts for greater customization variety of your characters:

3) New customizable slots:
Including a Hat slot, a Face/Mask slot, and decided to add Top-Of-Head-Ears to the existing Horns slot:

4) Card changes.
Made a whole bunch of card changes and removed "boring" cards like Shoot since now you can adjust the weapon of the character if you want a range focused character.
In addition, cards now no longer have an action cost, but is instead categorized into Action, Bonus Action and Free Action. Characters now have an Action per turn and an Bonus Action per turn instead of 2 AP turn.
This change is because I felt the 2 AP per turn was too restrictive as a 2 AP card that deals 10 damage is not much different than two 1 AP card that deals 5 damage each. What I really wanted is ~1.5 actions per turn, and you can see that in effect as there was many cards with a "End Turn" effect. (3 AP per turn runs into the issue that playing 3 1AP card may be too strong in case anyone is wondering.)
The 1.5 actions per turn was what I was aiming for with the top/bottom split system but that proves to be a bit too unintuitive and unfamiliar. I feel the Action and Bonus Action hits a nice middle ground between the two approaches. Also, unlike dnd5e, its possible to use your Action for the turn on a Bonus Action card.
5) Enemy Intent and Reveal
Enemies now no longer automatically reveals their intent, so you do not know what they are going to do. If you desire that information, now you have to play cards with the status effect Reveal to make them show their intent:

6) Randomization on enemies.
Added a new feature that allows controlled randomization(s) on enemy units.

7) New Enemies!
Added new enemies to the game. You may encounter them once you have finished the first two bosses/threats.
8) Perks/Passive
Added perks to the game. These are passives that have a constant boost to your character. You can acquire these passives via level ups and some characters may start with certain perks (in the future)
Speaking of leveling ups, added more level up options (includes those that grants passive effects beyond +stats), so maybe check those out too.
