Heroines versus Monsters

Bit of clickbait title because I dont consider the game have "real" monster girls yet nor is exotic girl random generation available in game. But that could be a fun little direction to push the game towards.

Anyways, the progress on orgy mode is going well. I have some thoughts and observations on it:

1) camera and controls: with the addition of target selection key, the controls works okay versus a few enemies. Versus mass groups it may get a little awkward. It is recommended to use camera mode A (free camera) or camera mode C (third person) rather than camera mode B (planer camera) on the orgy mode. Of course, its certainly possible to implement/augment the camera to give a better overview of the field versus multiple foes, but that will have to come at another time.

For those that miss the previous post, what the target selection key does is that it cycles through the enemies. It first pull a list of possible enemies, those that are either in within a small circle around the player or in a larger half circle centered at the player and facing the direction the player is facing (also known as "in front" of the player). Then it prioritizes enemies based on the distance between the enemy and the player. Active enemies get the most priority, grappled enemies less priority, and defeated enemies the least priority. Pressing the target selection key cycles through the enemies base on their priority.

2) balance: as expected, the balance is rather poor atm against multiple foes because each character (at the same lvl) is designed to be roughly equal in strength, rather than minions/creeps/trash mobs that the player is expected to plow through. Furthermore most of the attacks in the game are linear and not sweeps which makes 1v2 difficult. Not to mention the rather unforgiving AI.

Im sure the balance problem can easily be solved if the game incorporate multi-enemy encounters in its design and rebalance accordingly.

3) couple of open questions:

  1. How should the victory be decided?  Via pinning a single opponent or must defeat their entire team?
  2. How sophisticated/ how many options do people want in the orgy mode? This directly correlates to the amount of UI work (and thus when will the next patch be). If its just pick a character, and fight versus 2 RNG girl, then I can piggyback on the existing exhibition mode UI. If people want to an actual orgy mode, like selecting X girls on your team, selecting Y girls on other team, then it requires much more work.
  3. How should character intro scene and defeat scene work?
  4. How do people feel about making the girls fight in a non-wrestling-ring environment?

1) I'd say an elimination style would be best, but CPU players might get stuck raping fallen opponents. 2) A b it of both would be great, I'd at least like the option of having a team member on my side, unless it's a tag match, which would make the odds a bit more even. 3) What's there is now is fine with me. 4) Fine with me, so long as it doesn't detract from the current system. The option to go backstage and fight would be nice, tbh.

1) With a mode like this, honestly both should be an option. If only one, then the whole team should be eliminated. I can imagine getting into a game, gaining a team advantage when suddenly, the game ends. Full team victory would be more fun and rewarding. 2) I can't add much here. I'm honestly not a fan of mass matches. I love the 1v1 mode, and at most I think I'd enjoy 2v2. I feel like orgy mode is going to drastically effect 1v1's if you try to balance the game around this mode. I'd rather see something like a "tag in" mechanic. Personally, I feel like this mode should have its own balance or be a stand off/different game. 3) For simplicity's sake, the first character in each team should have only their intro displayed. And for the victory/defeat screen, whoever won the match should be displayed by themselves with whoever they defeated. It's kinda like a mini reward for winning the match. 4) Cosmetics are always nice. I wouldn't mind.

2. No clue, I would go for something simple like the current player + (selected target) enemy now and a "Total Team Health", like the battle morale/tide bars of the musou games. 3.I think that a "your team vs enemy team" with the characters names on a side would work. 4.Anything you want to try is ok, so fighting in the streets, forest, restaurants is cool (Air base and the docks must feature some special music).

D'oh! Heroines vs Monsters is pretty much what I'm trying to do, though it would be Monstergirls/"Gijinka" & their respective monster vs another couple (or two monsters vs their "gijinka"). 1. I would say to do something like some arena brawlers, each team has X points and each girl has Y cost, everytime a girl is defeated the team loses points equal to that girl cost and she gets resurrected at full health (or at % health based on the team remaining points [if a team has 51 points and a 50 points girl is defeated, it would be unfair to give full health to that girl]).

One of the things that i liked about RR was when i played online with a few friends and had a 2v2 match, i Liked how 1 person would grab me and the other would start gut punching me lol. For #1 i could suggest eliminating 1 teammate at a time maybe? As for #2 not sure how to answer this one but simple is probably best if theirs a way so the UI doesn't get cluttered up. For #3 A group shot of each team for intro and for defeat, the 5 winners bully the loser leader? #4 non-wrestling environment? You mean like outside of the ring? with sex toys and stuff? sure! lol sry i'm not really sure what u mean by non-wrestling environment.

RE: #4, I'm more than ok with it, but I'm part of the group that's less enthused with the wrestling and more interested in the H-side of things.

I got excited there for a sec when with that title. I was like Oh dang monsters too now! -_-' thats just unfair to do that to me. In seriousness I feel the best move would be to have both as both(pin option and entire team option) I don't think having a check for both should be to overwhelming plus this allows the opportunity to expand more easily on top of the two options. If you only want one option I think the entire team would be your best route. I don't feel like having a infinite number of girls in the arena would be very fun to watch or play. I would think a good limit of 5 on 5 should allow a unique experience allowing for a great deal of expandiblity, and helping set a limit to optimize to. I think a 1 v 2 and 2v2 is fine, but to expand up to 5x5 would be an interesting conflict. I'm unsure what your exactly asking with the third question but I'm assuming you mean how it would differ for a team over the individual. I would think the team would all walk in together in some creative way or simple the lead would walk forward while the rest hung back in poses. the defeat would be more complicated and I guess would depend on mode(pin / whole team out) was handled. in a single pin the rest of the team could fall to there knees before the victor. If team member onces defeated left the ring then perhaps the whole team would be forced to please the winners or do a walk of shame. A non wrestling ring would be awesome depends on what your thinking. Are you thinking like some back yard stuff or like in a S club? Would you be thinking of a limiting environment. I think that would work against the enjoyment of the game if not done in a very thoughtful way. Also as a herm fan I want to add I want more!!! To end all this awesome work. I'm so excited to see where this all goes and best of luck to you.

Oh man, well you already basically have Succubi and Nekos in the game. With a bit of extra work, you could add things like Alurane (Stationary/slow moving girls with Vines that reach around the arena and stuff?), Arachne.... I like the idea.
