Woke Reform Rides Again
Added 2025-08-09 09:22:31 +0000 UTCDue to illness and absence we have convened an unusual cast configuration of Riley, Hussein, and Nate, in which we discuss recent allegations that the Reform UK party is "woke" because they're not transphobic enough somehow. We also discuss a Bloomberg article about the right-wing sealed biosphere that produced one of the DOGE tweens. Sorry this is late: we've gone woke! Also November was sick and a lot of stuff has been up in the air. We love you all.

The thing they're most afraid of is not the people they willingly admit they don't like and want gone. It's that when push came to shove, they would accept their existence rather than get rid of them with their own hands - that they're cowards who don't have the guts to do what they desperately want done. It's why they're so ecstatic when someone offers to do it for them, ideally 'without their knowledge'. I suspect class is part of it in the UK, being in a lynch-mob or death squad seems dreadfully low-class

Which is how they tell themselves they're still good people. That they're not hateful. Most Terfs and homophobes don't want LGBT people to die, they just want them to change back to normal and be happy about it. Most racists and xenophobes don't want immigrants to die, they just want them to be somewhere else. Or somehow be replaced by different people. No take, only throw. But that's never going to happen. They want a magic solution, and they get very angry when you tell them there isn't one. They view it as you FORCING them to be bad people against their will.
