Bouncing Back

Yet again, Riley read a piece of literature nobody else would touch, in order to inflict it on his friends. We read Starmer's Vichy France pamphlet "The Road Ahead" about how he's bounced back and he's a serious politician now, because he has written a 11,500 word essay of inadequate plans.

oh man hearing Milo's disbelief at Liz Truss being appointed Foreign secretary is hilarious knowing she was going to be prime-minister within a year

Adam Foster

I think the Adam Curtis stuff is spot on, right down to the weird co-opting of Curtis's concerns about hyper-individualism. I think he just kind of watched Bitter Lake on 1.5 speed and decided that that'd be enough to sooth the big mean scary "left". Like - "Ah bugger, what do Corbynites like? ... Hmm, oh, Adam Curtis."
