Magna Carta Baz: TF Reviews 'Robin Hood (2010)' feat. Eleanor Janega and Patrick Wyman
Added 2021-07-01 00:18:15 +0000 UTCThis week, we've rounded up our favorite historians and subjected them to yet another absolutely terrible movie--this time it's Ridley Scott's 'Robin Hood,' a nearly 150-minute long film that sucks. Who could not say they loved a long digression into the Magna Carta's origins or a sequence we can only call Medieval Saving Private Ryan? You will enjoy this.

Yeah it's a minority opinion vs Knight's Tale but I would *love* to hear them tear through this movie

Orlando Bloom has a challenging time trying to act opposite good actors like Jeremy Irons, Eva Green, Ed Norton, David Thespis and Ghassan Masoud. He has a better time turning up to the Middle East as a blacksmith who uses his innately superior logic to teach Arabs how to do irrigation. And siege defenses. And suggests that maybe God isn’t a thing - take that Abrahamic faiths! Lots of random liberalism inserted throughout. Oh and you must watch the longer director’s cut. Some might say because it’s better than the cinematic cut, but I just want to see you suffer more.

Its *based* on history, where the attacker dug a tunnel under the castle wall, lit a fire, and used fat pigs to fuel the fire. Ironclad however thinks that lighting up fat pigs turns them into an IED. And the whole wall exploded like in LoTR.
