Don't know if you're aware of this or if you don't want your girlfriend to know about it yet but if not you should let her know the reason Sasuke couldn't sense Momoshiki is because aside from his guard being down the Otsutsuki can erase their chakra signature which isn't revealed until the Code arc but once you know that information and look back at this moment it all makes a lot more sense than Sasuke being relaxed although the exhaustion and worry of Naruto were still valid factors into what happened.
