Update on Story Removals and Patreon’s Content Standard Changes

Hi everyone! So as a lot of people might know I’ve been going through it in my personal life lol, but part of the reason I was struggling was because I thought someone was reporting my Patreon content since it was constantly being removed/archived for violating content standards. After it continued to happen I got curious and did a little more digging into Patreon’s content standards, and I discovered they recently changed their guidelines to include feederism as an example of disordered eating/promoting eating disorders (much like Tumblr). I didn’t know that had occurred and now at least I know that the “sexual content” being reported was just weight gain (because that was veryyy confusing for some non-sexual pieces). However in doing a little more research, Patreon is not actively searching for these content violations and only acts if a report has been made. 

That does unfortunately mean that my initial suspicions were correct and that someone is reporting my content in an attempt to have it taken down. The reason is literally entirely unbeknownst to me! I’ve never had any conflict or negativity with anyone in this community and I‘ve found that everyone has been very kind. I just can’t imagine why someone would pay money to subscribe to me and then try and have my stories taken down, it makes me sad😭 

To be totally honest I was really hurt at first (if you know me irl you’d know that I am incredibly sensitive and such a crybaby lmao). I didn’t really know how to move forward considering that a lot of the new content I was posting was being taken down just days after it went up and I was trying to brainstorm alternatives but I’m ✨dramatic✨ so I felt like the whole thing was hopeless lol. Hindsight 20/20 it’s suuuuch a small/first-world problem but still, I was distraught. I’ve finally wiped my tears and buckled down to research alternative sites/methods I can use to share my content, but before I try out the method I think would be best, I do wanna make a plea to whoever is reporting my content to please just reach out to me and explain what the issue is so we can potentially work it out! 

I’m going to try with just Patreon one more time and repost the last few things that have been removed, and hopefully everything will stay up. If not, the process to read certain stories is unfortunately going to become a bit more convoluted, and likely going to involve either a password-protected site or an invite-only drive/discord group. All the content that’s still here will stay up and for everything I create I’ll still attempt to post to Patreon first, but unfortunately, some posts may become links where you can find the new content. 

Thanks so much to everyone for bearing with me as I go through Alexander's terrible, horrible, no good, very bad MONTH (lmaooo am I dating myself with that 15-year-old reference?) and whether it's posted here or elsewhere, regular content will return dammit! I am also bringing back voting, which I think was so fun, but in order to cut down on repetitive results I'm also going to be creating far more one-off stories with varying themes/main characters so that there are more voting options for continuations! I’m very excited to share what I've been working on, and I’m going to make another post previewing some of the highlights that you’ll be seeing this month! The largest project (and the one I’m most excited about) is actually a related anthology, and I can’t wait to introduce you guys to the setting/characters😊
