Sailor Cosmos, pt. 3 (she's done! also some updates)

The full version is twice the size of this but just loading the file was murdering my poor laptop, but this size is still pretty big (6000px high).

This was a commission but the client was also kind enough to allow me to sell this as a print. This is now available on INPRNT, and you can use the code WVVW0JFJ to get 15% off all prints until 5/30! There is already another 15% off sale going on this weekend :)

Sailor Cosmos has one of my favorite senshi designs in the series next to Princess Sailor Moon from PGSM. Haven’t done a proper illustration in forever so for composition I wanted to play off the celestial themes and shades of white in her color palette. I have a weakness for group fanart so I couldn’t resist the opportunity to include all the Sailor Senshi in the illustration too!

Getting commissioned to draw Sailor Moon fanart was the dream and I would love to get more opportunities like this in the future! This won't be shared publicly until June (when the Sailor Moon Cosmos movie comes out) so this is an exclusive sneak peek 😊

Alright, so now that this is done, some general updates!

More of a personal message than an update: Thank you for supporting me while I prioritize Sugarplum over my various fashion series. Truth is, I'm not really sure where to go with my fashion designs. There was a time where I wanted to make a living out of drawing designs for others, but I just haven't been able to get enough clients to make it even a part-time career. I don't know why, maybe selling designs is too niche or what I do is not what potential clients want. What I do know is I've spent years on this goal, and it hasn't really worked, so I think continuing to work towards this dream would be fruitless.

(Selling adoptables was another option, but that usually involves relinquishing all ownership and I love and reiterate on my designs too much to completely give them up. And I've never wanted to sew my designs so badly as I do now because I feel like people are more likely to buy tangible fashion, but I think it is too late for learn from scratch...)

I still have a lot of fashion ideas I want to draw out! I just think drawing fashion and nothing else isn't doing much for me. I would really love to find a good cross between my love for fashion and making something people want to invest in. Gamedev felt like a reasonable path with my technical skills, and I liked the papercraft stuff too, but I should probably finish the game before I try something new. But once again, thank you for allowing me to explore other paths of creativity.
