My fanart got noticed by the EEAAO crew!

So my Jobu Tupaki fanart is finally out there for the world...let's talk about it!

The EEAAO fanart doing pretty well on all my socials, but it blew up on Instagram. Stylists and designers on the show, and even half of Daniels noticed it.

Michelle Chung Aiello - makeup artist
Meghan Heaney - hairstylist
BCalla - designed the green Amoeba Jobu outfit
Anissa Emily Salazar - hairstylist
Claudia Li - sewed at least Plaid Jobu, maybe more
Shirley Kurata - main costume designer and stylist (!)
Daniel Kwan - directed EEAAO, half of Daniels (!!!!!)
Monirath - designed the gloves on Goddess Jobu

Of course, I did tag them all to start with. But 1) I genuinely wasn't expecting them to take notice because so many times before I had drawn fanart for people and they didn't even look in my direction. 2) I think the designers and stylists deserved as much of a shoutout as the cast and directors and I wanted to recognize their hard work. I truly believe EEAAO would not have been the same without Jobu's fashion.

And then the EEAAO IG shared my work in their stories...

And yeah, that was my 15 min of fame lol

I also think me having a much bigger following on IG must have helped the algorithm as well, and might explain why it did so much better there than my other socials. An example of the rich getting richer hahaha
Or maybe it's just that the EEAAO staff use IG more? I couldn't find most of their other socials outside of Instagram, to be honest.

This is the first fanart I've drawn where I was fully expecting the ppl involved not to see it, I just really wanted to draw it because no one had drawn out all of Jobu's outfits like this. So for this to get noticed by the actual ppl, it was such a nice bonus! I'm very grateful for that.

New art will be coming next week - this post was already long enough! I will be streaming my art on Twitch every now and then though, so stop by and say hi!
