Efficient Satisfactory - Part 2

The factory must grow, without spaghetti this time!

Efficient Satisfactory - Part 2

Comments

Not sure if you/Matt has seen this one before, but... I got some coords from google earth to inspire raw efficiency and strong builds. You can also look up "Tolukko Fort" :)

Gummisatan

such as nuclear waste :)

You can make the LizardDoggos your pets! Place a Paleberry in front of you near one, and you can rename it and it will follow you and gain you free items!

Steen Goblin

Glad I finally joined your Patreon for this series!

RealChemicalEngineer

You’re awesome

You need to activate the arachnophobia mode in settings and look for some spiders.. its the funniest thing i've seen in a while in games 😅

ConsoleMusic

I would like to attempt to direct your eyes to satisfactory modeler on Steam. It is free and allows you to plan out factories as well as doing all the calculations tht you could need to do or efficient factory planning. I don't want to get political here but it would be a fairly architect move to think when someone else could do it for you.

Daniel Horne

As I said in the comments, you can align the foundation to a world grid with control, so all your factories are aligned across the world

Just thought of another tip that I don't think you are currently using and that is when collecting leaves/wood and it says press E to collect if you keep the E pressed down then you will automatically collect the leaves/wood as you move through them - it makes it all so much quicker. But be careful - I find it quite addictive picking up leaves whilst running so that I have more than once failed to notice a cliff edge until I fell from it.

Flib

A couple tips: 1) If you place down the splitters on foundations in front of the machines and then belt into them, you won't have them floating in mid air (this counts as spaghetti). 2) You can also build foundations over top of the resource nodes and place a miner on top (as long as the foundations aren't too tall) and the miner will sit nicely on the foundations without clipping into them. If the miner is clipping, lower the foundations and try again. Thanks for doing a serious play-through, this is a great start!

Yes, use the world grid! But also when starting a new building, always use a 2m or 4m foundation. Foundations snap their X,Y,Z center to points on the grid, which means if you snap a 1m foundation, you will be 0.5m above and below the snapping point. If you use a 2m or 4m you will be whole integer number of meters above and below the snapping point which will make it much easier to build things like ramps to blend them together.

1 As Acegamble has already said, the Biomass Burners that you build can be fed using conveyors, so a combination of belts and splitters means that you only need one container to feed them all rather than having to do each manually. 2 If you want straight conveyor belts then you can toggle the build mode between straight and default.

Flib

If you hold ctrl while placing a foundation not connected to any existing ones, it will snap to the world grid, then you can be sure that any other foundations you place similarly will be able to connect together since they are on the same world grid.

Gabriel Graitzer

Lol he realized that 10s later... nvm!

Mozbius

Matt dude. You are only using 1/2 Iron extractors. Use the other one so you dont have to go so far away...

Mozbius

This may have been the best bridge review ever 😂

MonsterFromTheFuture

Please please notice the input on the biomass burners. Don’t use the HUB ones but instead use the buildable ones and then conveyor the solid bio fuel straight in to it. Then you only have to dump the leaves and wood as you’ve been doing

Acegamble

"I feel like in the first series this was like 5 or 6 episodes worth of progress." It's almost like Engineering things properly is more efficient 🤔 I'm so excited for this!

Brad

if you hold ctrl when placing a building, it aligns to other buildings, also if you press r when building foundations you can change build mode to zoop (horizontal) or vertical build modes to place up to 10 at a time
