The Corners in Germany are also Steep when there is no Speedlimit. Thats mainly because we have something called "Richtgeschwindigkeit", that means basically that you can go over 130km/h but if you crash while going higher you insurence does not have to pay then

Imagine having to dig up and replace concrete every time city maintenance needed access to utilities under the road. Even internet cable is buried under there. If something went wrong…NO RCE until they fix it!! I’m guessing that’s an important benefit of cheap roads as well :)

“You just have to replace the surface course every 5 years” HA I wish America did that lol some of these roads haven’t seen any kind of love in over 15 years lol

Love your videos, over in the states, have you seen what's been happening in RI, bridge shut down due to sheared reinforcement pins, one a few primary flow paths into the state capitol, apparently discovered by a younger civil engineer.

WookieEngineer

Hi Matt, At least here in the US, there's a sign on most bridges, regardless of its size, that says "Bridge Ices Before Road", implying that in cold conditions, the bridge may be icy even though the surface road isn't. Do you know why that is?
