Monday, February 15th - Week Ahead Tarot Reading

Hi Patreons!

Here is your week ahead tarot/oracle reading. Be sure to read your Sun, Moon and Ascendant signs (if you know them).

I will be using the Arcana of Astrology deck, so to avoid confusion if you get another zodiac sign in your reading, YOUR sign is bold and underlined

For oracle advice I will be using the Compendium of Constellations. Keep note of your word and see how it applies to your life this week.

ARIES

Week Ahead:

New Moon, Second House, Fourth House

New Moon: This phase represents a rebirth. It is a time for new beginnings. The subconscious and the conscious mind share the same plane, which means you should focus on your aspirations and emotional desires; if you plant the seeds they shall grow.

Think of the New Moon as a blank page where you control the story - what do you wish for most? This can also be a period of uncertainty and insecurity because we cannot see the Moon's glow.

Second House: If you get the second house in a reading, it’s time to get your finances in order. Overindulging in material things due to stress will catch up with you and leave you scrambling to pay your bills. Alternatively, if you have been short on cash and struggling, this is about to change. Expect a pay raise or some type of windfall to come your way.

Sometimes the second house means that you are pushing your beliefs onto other people against their will. Nothing in life is one size fits all, and what works for you may not work for someone else.

Fourth House: It is time to reconnect to your roots with the appearance of the fourth house card. This is more than just spending time with your family in your usual way. Asking your parents or grandparents questions about your ancestors and learning their stories helps you get in touch with where you come from. Maybe this provides you with some insight into why things are done a certain way in your family.

The fourth house is also about fixing up, cleaning, and decorating your home. Sometimes we scoff at things like this as "superficial", but we shouldn't overlook at how beneficial this can be to our mental health. Home should be a place not just of security but also comfort.

Oracle Advice:

Grus the Crane: Overcome

TAURUS

Week Ahead:

Jupiter, Capricorn, First House

Jupiter: A change in luck is coming your way and nothing can slow it down. If you've been going through difficulties, this relief can feel like it arrived in the nick of time. The faith in the idea that we do deserve good things can be a powerful manifestation tool.

You are becoming a better version of yourself and positivity is radiating off of you. Sharing this energy with others fosters discussion and the interpersonal connection that we all need.

Jupiter takes your ideas and makes them bigger and better—just don't become so rigid in your beliefs that you leave no room for critical thinking. Expanding our knowledge requires questioning things, and we ourselves are not exempt from that practice.

Capricorn: Capricorn often appears when we are under a lot of pressure to succeed, and this can cast a more serious shadow onto our personality. This energy can be effectively channeled into anything we want, so grab a pen and paper and outline the steps to reaching your goal. Be realistic, but remember that believing in yourself is the most important part of the process.

If you have been pushing hard and not seeing progress, it may be time to take a step back and evaluate your process. Maybe you need to change up your routine, or assign certain tasks to specific days when you know they will get your undivided attention. Don’t worry, you will get to where you want to be.

First House: You are in the spotlight right now, and you need to take full advantage of it. If you are a naturally extroverted person, this will be a walk in the park, but if you are more of an introvert, you may struggle with having all eyes on you. Be aware that this won't last forever, so do your best to use this energy to get ahead.

The concept of "fake it until you make it" is tied to the first house. We all have different masks we need to put on from time to time to get through the day and there is no shame in that. Using what resources you have is a smart move.

Oracle Advice:

Vulpecula the Fox: Deception

GEMINI

Week Ahead:

Lilith, Leo, Aries

Lilith: When we start to stand up for ourselves, we are often faced with backlash and further punishment. Lilith asks that we don't back down. Continue to push forward. In fact, you have the capacity to downright destroy those who continue to oppress you.

Call upon this powerful figure of womanhood when you feel like you don't have enough strength left. Sometimes strength is just walking away from the people you are told you are supposed to love, or the goals and expectations others have set for us.

Leo: Leo’s appearance means it is time to take pride in your accomplishments. You are in the spotlight and you earned it, so be proud of that. While you should be careful not to let success go too much to your head, a little bit of ego signals to others that you know your worth. You should not be playing the supporting actor in the movie of your own life; you should be the star.

It’s important to remember that while you are doing well or earning some sort of recognition, there are people waiting on the sidelines hoping for you to fall. It is an unfortunate reality, so keep your wits about you. If you do trip, keep your head held high and don’t let them see you sweat.

Aries: Think of this card as a call to action. Aries is handing you a spark, and it is your job to turn it into a fire. This process should be exciting and positive, so make sure you don’t squander this energy on something you aren’t 100% behind.

If you have been feeling sluggish and uninspired, just know that this is about to change. New opportunities and a burst of energy are heading your way, and they are coming fast. Enjoy these last moments of quiet, because it is about to be anything but.

Oracle Advice:

Cancer the Crab: Distract

CANCER

Week Ahead:

Sixth House, Tenth House, Scorpio

Sixth House: While the fifth house is all about fun, the sixth house card is a sign that it's time to get back to work. Putting off completing your to-do list just results in a longer list. It's better to get ahead so you don't overwhelm yourself later. Look for ways to streamline or switch up your routine to keep things from getting too stale.

The sixth house can also mean that something is going on with your health. If you have been neglecting your body, now is the time to try reconnect with it. Whether it is changing your way of eating or trying different exercises, this card is the boost of confidence you need.

Tenth House: You are about to come into the spotlight at work. If you've been behind the scenes on a big project, you will get the recognition that you deserve. Don't be afraid to stand up for yourself and the contributions you have made.

The 10th house in a reading can point to a career change. If you are thinking of leaving your current job, make a list of qualities you want your new job to have. What roles do you feel best suited for? Are you an entrepreneur type, or do you feel more comfortable on a team?

Obviously not everyone can afford (or wants) to leave their job, so use that list to figure out ways that you can improve your current situation. If you feel like you need more responsibility, ask for it!

Scorpio: Scorpio in a reading means it is time to get your emotions—mainly your temper—in check. It is perfectly healthy to feel anger, but it is not healthy to be carrying it around with you day after day. You don’t have to do that to yourself. Don’t you deserve to feel happy?

If you have been struggling to take the first step in a changing your life, Scorpio is a welcome omen. Allow bad habits and negative thoughts to die, as this leaves room for newer and better things to flourish. This opportunity is a gift and when you do take it, the whole world will open up.

Oracle Advice:

Perseus: Glory

LEO

Week Ahead:

Third House, Ceres, Chiron

Third House: Sometimes it can feel as though the universe is conspiring against us. Cars break down, we send the wrong email to our boss, and we have disagreements with our loved ones. But rest assured that the delays and daily setbacks you're facing are only temporary. These things can be solved easily with a good mechanic, swallowing your pride, or apologizing.

Too often we believe that speaking our mind is the most important part of communicating, but there is another piece to that puzzle: listening. Take some time to listen to what the people you love have to say right now—you may get more out of it than you realize.

Ceres: Things are abundant in your life right now and the potential for reaching your goals is at its peak, you just need to stay focused on the things that matter most to you. Don't let minor distractions get in the way of that or influence your decisions. You know what is best for you even if it doesn't make sense to anyone else.

If you are going through a low emotional period, do your best to appreciate the beauty in the everyday. Eat nourishing foods and make beautiful art. Go for walks and reconnect with nature. Spend time with your loved ones doing things that matter. Material items and overindulgence will not serve you right now so avoid emotional binges.

When we are children, our parents are supposed to take care of us. They should hug us when we are sad and feed us when we are hungry. At some point, we take over this parental role for ourselves, and if you're struggling getting things done, it could be that a wound from your upbringing is causing you to get in your own way.

Chiron: Chiron often appears when we have that nagging feeling of self-doubt we just can't shake. You could be feeling inadequate, but you already have all the tools you need to solve your problem, you just have to do some deep reflection to find them.

Try as we may, even the most evolved of people carry their trauma with them everywhere they go. How they use this trauma is what is important. Are you lashing out at those around you? Or are you focusing your emotions into something productive to better your life and the lives of your community?

This asteroid carries with it a delicate balance between inward focus (tending to yourself), and outward focus (tending to others). Swaying too far in one direction can leave us feeling neglected and burnt out, and the other way can make us over-indulgent and selfish. This is an ongoing theme of life that we all must experience at one point or another.

Oracle Advice:

Princess Andromeda: Beauty

VIRGO

Week Ahead:

Pallas Athena, Pluto, Seventh House

Pallas Athena: When Pallas appears in your reading, it is time to make a plan. Weighing the pros and cons of a situation is going to help you in the long run. The physical act of writing your ideas down brings them to life. This helps us look at the bigger picture. We often think just about our next step, but strategizing further down the line will ensure our victory.

Become a defender of your community. Pallas is not a "me" energy, it is a "we" energy. Just like we have to look at the bigger picture of a personal situation, we are also part of the bigger picture in society. Your friends and neighbours may have ideas that can be utilized to benefit everybody.

Pluto: Pluto in a reading points to a big change coming your way. It is likely an ending of some sort. This will feel like a sudden event, but if you look deep enough into your psyche, you'll see that this was in the works for some time. This death needs to happen to make room for new life. The initiation of a new cycle is painful, but fighting it will just drag those feelings out.

If you have been waiting for a big ending or some type of monumental change to take place, know that it will be arriving shortly. Sometimes the anticipation of knowing that something out of your control is about to happen, is almost worse than the actual event. Freedom from old structures and anxiety is a relief, and it is in that moment that you can begin to rebuild.

Seventh House: The seventh house is about evaluating your behaviors and your desires in all your relationships—intimate or otherwise. Are you holding onto old friends you have outgrown? Maybe a work partnership has shifted into something more? As we evolve and change, so do our relationships. Defining clear-cut boundaries doesn't make you a bad person.

The seventh house in a reading can also indicate that it is time to expand your social circle. Joining a club or team sport is a great way to meet new people that you wouldn't otherwise. We all have valuable things to learn from one another, and you never know, you could find exactly what you are looking for.

Oracle Advice:

Telescopium the Telescope: Discover

LIBRA

Week Ahead:

Taurus, Eros, Aquarius

Taurus: Taurus reminds us that it is ok to crave comfort and to indulge every once in a while. It is ok to spend some money on yourself as long as your responsibilities take priority. A good thing to remember is that pleasure doesn’t have to cost. Reading a book from the library is going to contain the same words as it would if you purchased it. Flowers picked from a garden smell just as good as ones from a store.

If you have been holding onto resources too tightly, now would be a good time to invest a little into your future. The easiest way to do this is to open a savings account. It still satisfies your need of possessing the funds, but also creates a safety net for yourself for the future.

Eros: Eros in a reading is about our subconscious desires about what we are looking for in a mate. If you're unattached, his appearance can signal that you are ready for commitment and need to get in touch with the attributes you want in a partner. If you're in a relationship, you may need to make more time for your partner and reconnect on a spiritual and sexual level.

Alternatively, Eros asks us to look deep inside ourselves and find our passion. It could be romantic love, it could be healthcare, it could be sports, anything. What matters is that it lights your soul on fire. This asteroid wants us to realize our dreams as they are what keeps us going.

Aquarius: Retreating into your own world is what Aquarius wants you to do when it appears in a reading. Too often, we absorb and internalize other people’s emotions and neurosis, and it’s time for you to rid yourself of them. Put your phone on do not disturb for an entire 24/7 and have yourself a staycation.

Aquarius can also mean it is time to loosen up and get a little crazy. You are being given the opportunity to be as out there and unpredictable as you want. If you are someone who always plays it safe, you are being given a free pass to experiment. Make sure you leap into the water—now is not the time for wading.

Oracle Advice:

Hyades the Rainy Ones: Pessimism

SCORPIO

Week Ahead:

Cancer, Venus, Twelfth House

Cancer: The crab asks that you molt from your shell and be vulnerable in the realm of emotions. It's ok to bring your armor with you in case you need to retreat, but taking those first steps are important to your growth.

Self-care is more than just working on your exterior—it takes vulnerability and creativity. The path to tranquility is not a straight line. Sometimes you need to take a few steps to the side and observe your feelings or the feelings of others. Just resist the urge to act on the offensive. Lashing out may feel like self-preservation, but you’ll end up hurting the people you care about.

Venus: It is time to appreciate the beauty in your surroundings. Too often we rush through life, never stopping to appreciate the simple things. Food and shelter are human needs, but we also need enjoyment. We need pleasure and intimacy. We need laughter and we need rest. Without these we are just empty shells, prone to depression and loneliness. Venus serves as a reminder to pamper yourself every now and again. You'll be more productive in the long run.

You could be going through a period of attraction right now. Whether you are attracting material items or romantic interests, Venus wants you to not only enjoy it, but to utilize it. How can you use this magical energy you are radiating to serve yourself? So often we are told not to be selfish or to put our needs first, but in fact you must. When you are happy, the people around you are happier as well.

Twelfth House: If you are going through a period of crisis or self-doubt, just know there is absolutely nothing wrong with you. Allowing yourself to work through trauma and mental health struggles is the best gift you will ever give yourself. Asking for help is often the hardest step, but you owe it to yourself to try.

If someone close to you is going through a hard time and you aren’t sure how to help them, just ask. Sometimes a quick “How are you?” or “What can I do to help?” is exactly what they need to hear. Do your best to not be judgmental or suggest ways they can improve their situation unless you know they want the input.

Oracle Advice:

Coma Berenices/Berenice's Hair: Decorate

SAGITTARIUS

Week Ahead:

Saturn, First Quarter Moon, Psyche

Saturn: Two steps forward and one step back is the slogan for Saturn. If he is showing up for you, you are probably in the midst of a major life test. It can feel like no matter what you do, you just can’t get ahead. This isn’t actually the case, you are moving forward, Saturn just likes to make sure we are certain of our direction. Are you making responsible choices? Are you utilizing your tools to the best of your ability? Make sure you are clear about these things because you will have a final exam.

If you are going through a period of chaos and confusion, you need to look to Saturn for advice. What areas of your life can you organize and restructure? What behaviors are no longer serving your best interests? If you can effectively let go of the things that are holding you back, you will have more time to focus on your major goals and aspirations.

First Quarter Moon: At the First Quarter Moon, the stems and leaves you are developing are beginning to take real form. Your intuition is getting stronger by the day so placing trust in yourself is paramount to reaching the next stage. You already have the answers you are looking for.

As the Moon grows, so can nagging thoughts and doubts. The Moon is going to continue her cycle whether you accompany her or not, so you may as well keep going.

Psyche: Psyche points to other peoples’ expectations of us. Who we are and how we should behave is suddenly a topic of conversation. The empathetic side of you might be internalizing this, but like the adage says, "other peoples’ opinion of you is none of your business".

Your intuition is very heightened right now. It's as though you can feel the emotions of everyone around you. You have the gift of sensitivity and this allows you to turn even the worst feelings into beauty and positivity. Lead by example, show that kindness goes further than spite.

Oracle Advice:

Leo the Lion: Defeat

CAPRICORN

Week Ahead:

Solar Eclipse, Sun, Pisces

Solar Eclipse: A Solar Eclipse occurs when a New Moon is directly between the Sun and the Earth and blocks out the Sun’s rays. The Solar Eclipse carries the same potential for opportunity as the regular New Moon, but it does come with a warning that you will reap three times what you sow, so go forward with clear purpose.

Sun: The Sun is the most welcome and joyous card in the deck. His radiance and warmth gives us the confidence to be our best selves. From this point on, anything is possible. He reminds us that our best qualities have been there the whole time, we just needed the light to shine in our darkest corners.

Too much sun can be however, can be dangerous. At times it can contradict other parts of our nature. It can bleach and scorch them to the point where you think they may die, but they don't. Life is resilient and soon little bits begin to regrow. Even when the sun hurts us, without it we wouldn't exist at all. It is ok to throw up some temporary shade when you need relief, but don't hide too long or you will miss this golden opportunity.

Pisces: Mixed emotions could be an ongoing theme for you. Pisces acknowledges this confusion and this card is a reminder not to make rash decisions. You may feel tempted to go with the first option presented to you in a problem, just to do anything but stand still, but that would be unwise. Do some soul-searching and when you are reading to make a decision, you’ll know which is the right one.

Pisces can also mean that you are feeling overly sensitive and imagining problems that aren’t actually there. Whether it is reading too much into comments made in passing by those around you, or not processing your own emotions towards others, these types of situations need to be handled gracefully.

Oracle Advice:

Triangulum Australe the Southern Triangle: Masculinity

AQUARIUS

Week Ahead:

Uranus, Juno, Waning Gibbous Moon

Uranus: It is time to do the unexpected. Take a leap into the unknown with the arrival of Uranus. This card is all about rebellion—a little bit can be healthy, liberating even, but a lot can be devastating. The choice is yours and yours alone. Going against the grain in a world that wants us to conform just feels good sometimes.

Approach solving a problem from a new angle. Sometimes taking a step back and observing a situation objectively gives you a fresh idea. Imagine if the worlds greatest inventors gave up the first time their ideas didn’t work, or when their peers called them crazy. We would be missing all of these amazing things that shaped our lives. What contribution can you make to history? Uranus frees you of your limitations and preconceived ideas of what is possible. He is here to liberate you from the bonds of conformity.

Juno: When Juno appears in a reading, it is time to take a look at your relationship and evaluate what is working and what is not. Make sure your focus is not only on the history of this relationship, but also the possible future of it.

Juno never makes a flippant or sudden decision. She looks at every possible angle of a situation. It's the perfect time to make a list of the pros, cons, or indiscretions. Is your partner meeting your needs? Are you meeting their needs? If your partner strives for stability, and you want excitement, how are you going to balance these?

If you are not partnered up, this is a great time to do some self-reflection on what you bring to the table, the boundaries you want to set, or if even you want to be in a relationship at all.

Waning Gibbous Moon: As the moon begins to get smaller, you may feel an urge to share recently acquired knowledge with your community. Reflection doesn't always have to be a solitary act. Communication about your feelings can help prepare you for the upcoming stages. Look at it this way: if someone else's information could help you, wouldn't you want them to share it?

You could also be feeling out of the loop or shunned by your community. Being ostracized hurts, and you should share how you feel with those around you. This behaviour could be unintentional so don't write anyone off yet.

Oracle Advice:

Canis Major the Greater Dog: Dominance

PISCES

Week Ahead:

Hygeia, Libra, Waning Crescent Moon

Hygeia: Hygeia’s appearance means it is time to do a "spring cleaning" of your mind, body, and physical space. A change in attitude is necessary in regard to health and fitness. We can only run on empty for so long before we are struck down with an illness.

If you have been dealing with health issues, Hygieia can symbolize your search for help. If holistic approaches haven't been working, then it might be time to look into traditional medicine, and vice versa. Consult your health practitioners and see what solutions you can brainstorm together.

Like all elements in Astrology, she has the potential to go overboard and become a hypochondriac or cause us more harm than good. If you are struggling with something health related, take a look at her placement in your chart to get a fresh viewpoint.

Libra: Libra is a gentle reminder to Handle conflicts with grace and poise. Sometimes we have to work with someone we aren’t a fan of, but if you keep an open mind, you may find that you share the same goals, or at the very least are able to work together amicably.

A lot of Astrology is about balancing your needs with your wants, sorting out this energy and that energy, but with the Libra’s scales it is even more crucial that you weigh both sides of a situation thoroughly. Now is not the time for rash decisions.

Waning Crescent Moon: The Waning Crescent (or Balsamic) Moon is the final step in the cycle. It is a time for rest and recuperation. Nothing more can be done in this moment, you just need to wait it out.

It is important to understand that sometimes, no matter what steps we take or preparations we make, we cannot change fate. What we can do, is accept that life comes with curveballs and try and go with the flow.

Oracle Advice:

Queen Cassiopeia: Vanity
