Season 1 ended rather satisfyingly, I'll admit, and while there's a couple loose threads I'd love to see addressed, it doesn't make me scream for more... it unveiled Master Feng's contact, the one who snuck Xiao into the Inner Palace, as Yuyong, who was fully aware of their goal and still aided them willing out of his own personal motives. I did not expect to progress that plot point, but man, it made me so glad we did, cause that was straight up incredible as we see his resentment/regrets/jealousy spew out, the emotions certainly ran high!
