I'll admit, it didn't even cross my mind to learn the real names for most of Spearhead's members, I figured I'd call them by their nicknames since those are easier to remember/pronounce... so I can't blame Lena for not crossing that bridge, if it slipped her mind, or if perhaps she was building up towards that development, but those words still ring true, even when its their means of lashing out to cope with their grief over losing a comrade.
I should've figured we'd spend down moments with these characters, showcasing their personalities & relationship dynamics with each other, thereby endearing us to them... only for death to suddenly tear 'em away from us, and of course, it has to be someone whose started opening up to Lena. No doubt, the emotions & pain will only get worse from here, but even still, I'm excited to see what'll happen next!

It did slip my mind, yeah, I'd say she's still inexperienced in the regards that the Spearhead Unit's so good, she needs to learn what it is she can do for them one step at a time, since she needs to meet their skill level and even go beyond it as a proper commander when issuing orders, otherwise she's unable to properly assist in mission without prompting. Losing someone never gets easy though, that's for sure, especially when it happens so quickly...

2023-01-04 06:02:33 +0000 UTCAlso, Lena has been the commanding officer of squads before, we even see her lose some processors in the first episodes. And presumably she had been with those guys for some time too. So this is not necesseraly new to her, though obviously it still hurts.

2023-01-04 05:24:17 +0000 UTCSeems like they were holstered, not submerged in the water, cause they were wearing clothes and not entirely dropping their guards, they did quickdraw on Daiya instantly when they heard a noise, so they were very likely minimally wet so that's not an issue
