Suzuki made a valiant effort, even teaming up with his son, but their rematch was nothing like their first fight... it's not like he could regain 30 years worth of stored energy instantly, especially when Mob started copying his energy absorption. So yeah, I can respect his decision to retreat & survive for his family, instead of sacrificing himself to repay his debt, even if it couldn't truly come full circle for Suzuki & Shigeo...
Seeing Ritsu achieve 100% with his own counter was beyond hype, didn't see it coming but it makes sense that he'd be capable of it, he is Shigeo's brother and did his fair share of repressing certain emotions as well! I will say, seeing all those brotherly moments flash by as the counter ticking noise went off was simply breathtakingly incredible... Studio Bones nailed it perfectly!
