Seems the true culprits behind the destruction of Rein's village were demons, presumably ordered by the Demon King to cull any threats... and with our MC's capabilities, it'd be a logical move, but I could be misreading his genuine horror/fear from witnessing its rebirth. I mean, yes, it did consume Edgar and grant my wish to see him be properly (and painfully) punished for everything he's done, but holy shit, it caught me so off guard... where did Arios even get this cursed ring capable of instant death AND reawakening a demon as a failsafe?
Our boy managed to rescue Nina, the enslaved Kitsune, whose true identity is actually a Demigod, and that just makes me very excited to see what contract benefit Rein might get... plus I'm unbelievably happy she'll be surrounded by people who will treat her right, making her feel safe and very much loved!
