HardLife v0.27279 (public build)

 

HardLife engine v0.27279 (game v0.37505):

* Vampire Age formula adjusted after 1.4 million year old vampire was encountered, odds reduced from 1:1 million to 1:1 billion of recurrence
* Eating Garlic now grants Garlic-Breath debuff which repels Vampires (and prospective lovers).
* Damage Reflection formula updated to match changes to muscle-capacity
* Fixed Bug which failed to clear Guarding & Flexed states after each round (causing opponents to be neigh impossible to hit at high levels)
* Changed the Age scaling effects of Wild Surges to account for the Prime/Peak age for the species, so vampires now move toward 200 rather than 24
* Fixed muscle-tone loss from severe lack of protein and disabled protein/sugar/kcal going below zero, protein can still be used for muscle recovery
* Damage scaled vs people and cars to bring the scale inline. Should do about 10x as much damage to cars, and about 1/3 as much to humanoids (thus when you can obliterate a person, you can do much the same to a hunk of metal)
* Damage now scales with the unstack of relative bodymass as well, larger fighters will do more and take less damage in general (however, the mass is scaled by tone, so a small but ripped fighter is likely to overpower a huge but fat one)
* muscle-tone percentage range capped to 0~100%, bonus is still in effect, but stops at fully toned
* fixed issue where extreme differences in size could result in a reverse height transfer
* added new progress variable and reworked muscle toning description to use this variable instead of the raw percentage of max potential, it now credits overall gains when describing tone, and uses comparative values when inspecting someone else
* tweaked min vampire age from a static 14 to the 14~42 range, this should greatly reduce the number of high school freshmen being turned each year
* fixed metric formatting precision where some interfaces reported measurements scaled by 2.5 instead of 2.54, thank you SirDan for pointing that out
* added support for seedable random number sequences, with the ability to maintain multiple isolated seed-states
* converted all RNG functions (including spinTheWheel) to use the seeded random function, with optional seed parameters
* extended seeding capacity to be able to has string values for seeds
* added astral points for aggressor and ethereal points for target, plus bonus on character's base-aspect
* vampire height-gain when aging/de-aging now properly scales based on the %primeAge gained/lost, gaining inches rather than feet after surges
* aspect levels are now displayed in the status menu
- aspect progress rings are displayed in compatible browsers, percent progress also shows on hover  

NOTE: due to upcoming backward incompatible changes to data structures, the v0.272x line will be frozen at this point, and a new one started with v0.273+; this means we'll be starting a new dA post for the next version, and saves will not import between them.



 Supporter build has 15 Cheats, including the recently added Venus Mode (which makes randomly generated NPCs youthful [and in future versions also amorous]), Amazon Mode (significantly increases the Amazon-Index of the game), Valkyrie Mode (replaces God Mode and adds physical perfection [no fatigue or body-damage]), Goddess Mode (which makes you All-Powerful [unlocks and maximizes all powers in the game]), DND Mode (disables random encounters [Do-Not-Disturb] so you can focus on activities), and exclusive character Lisa Irons (and preview character Elaine), and 2 additional difficulty levels.
