Some background info: Beatrix is kind of like a mercenary who currently works for a group called 'The Society' - they are pretty shady about their ultimate goals but primarily seem concerned with hunting primal beasts, which they consider dangerous. She was orphaned when a primal destroyed her village as a child, probably something that helped her decision to join The Society. She is overworked and underpaid but she has been chosen to wield a very special sword called Embrasque, which has a special power to grant its user strength proportional to the danger they are in. As a result, Bea is at her strongest when at a disadvantage, which has given her a reputation for being very reckless.
