Patreon exclusive: Venus and Doug Stewart
Added 2025-10-16 18:53:23 +0000 UTCOn the chilly morning of Monday, April 26, 2010, 32-year-old Venus Stewart stepped outside her parents’ home in rural Michigan, still wearing her thin pajamas. Moments earlier, she’d received a phone call from someone claiming to be the mail carrier, saying there was a package waiting for her in the mailbox. She walked down the long gravel driveway to retrieve it—and was never seen alive again. When Venus didn’t come back inside, no one immediately realized she was gone. Her father, Larry McComb, a long-haul truck driver, had gotten in late the night before and was still asleep. It wasn’t until his two young granddaughters began running through the house playing that he woke up—and noticed Venus wasn’t with them. He searched the home and yard but found no sign of his daughter. The scene at the end of the driveway told a chilling story. The earth near the mailbox was disturbed, as though a struggle had taken place. Heel marks and footprints pressed into the dirt, with gravel scattered across the sidewalk, suggested that someone had fought back—and fought hard. At first, there were no witnesses and no obvious suspects. But suspicion soon turned to Venus’s estranged husband, 29-year-old Doug Stewart, who was living in Newport News, Virginia. When investigators finally made contact with him days later, he was there—cool, composed, and seemingly cooperative. There was no physical evidence placing him in Michigan. Yet to Venus’s family, there was never any doubt about who had taken her.

I agree 1000%. Some things are unforgivable. He didn’t confess until it served him. Disgusting man.

2025-10-29 23:48:12 +0000 UTCI agree with Venus's mother Therese, I would not be able to forgive a person who hurt my daughter. Maybe there are people out there who can find it in their hearts to forgive but I wouldn't be one of those people. I feel so bad for the families. It must be so hard to live with that pain, anger, sadness and frustration every single day. RIP Venus!

2025-10-24 15:06:28 +0000 UTCI could never forgive him. I’d do everything to be positive for those kids but could never forgive someone for doing that to my child. Never!
