Jared and his ex-wife, Shanna Gardner, heiress to the Stampinβ Up fortune, had gone through a long and brutal custody battle but they had both recently remarried. The attack was brutal and well-planned. Jaredβs murder went unsolved for a year until three shocking arrests were made, including Jaredβs ex-wife and new husband.
