This chapter sees Jamie and Emerald strike out on their own, developing their relationship before they commit to moving in together when Jamie goes off to University.
As a pair, they come up with a scheme to rustle up some money using Emerald's old connections, and in the process discover that an old schoolmate of Jamie's will also be there.
Be has a score to settle, and only has one way of doing it.
