Tablet struggle
Added 2019-05-16 02:23:04 +0000 UTCOkay so, my old PC monitor finally kicked it (you may already know this). It was old as dirt, from 2001, and was pretty much like a 4:3 aspect ratio. I am afraid I cannot remember its native resolution but it was NOT widescreen for sure.
I am currently hooked into a TV set that is like 1920x1080, and my friend bought me a new monitor I am waiting on, which will be at the same res as this TV but with way better color and whatnot (this TV is ass for color).
SO. In 2011 when I first bought my tablet I was using that old 4:3 monitor from 2001. I have been drawing on that since. I learned my tablet pad on THAT screen. Can you guess where I am going with this?
My tablet now has a lot more real estate to take into consideration and BOY HOWDY do I have to super re-train my muscle memory to draw on this. To explain it as best as I can, it now has a lot more east to west travel than before, and a bit more north to south. So it moves differently, and I can feel my hand going, WTF!?
I will be struggling for a bit, needless to say. haha
So expect my lineart quality to... go down a few notches for a while. My brain has to relearn some things. One of the drawbacks to digital art I suppose.
Also I cannot do any serious coloring on this TV while I am using it. I mean it is ASS. After all, it's a TV not a PC monitor.
