Patreon Bonus Build -- Revised Missions, Gamepad Support, Weapons Tweaks!
Added 2023-11-02 15:20:04 +0000 UTCThis is an update version of Demo IV which includes revised convoy missions, new assassination missions, gamepad support (and therefore theoretical support for mobile devices like the Steam Decks, ROG Ally, and Legion Go), and a few weapon tweaks.
For missions: Convoy missions have been revamped to add waypoints now. Convoys will wait at a waypoint until you trigger them by taking one of your units to the next waypoint. Diversion missions have been replaced with Assassination missions, which involve a gold command squad somewhere on the battlefield that's coordinating a larger patrol force. All you have to do is destroy the command units and then flee.
For weapons: Missile ammo has been reduced slightly, Autogun range increased slightly, Heavy Autoguns have been revamped to be a side-grade to regular Autoguns, and Scorchers have been revamped again, increasing their accuracy, reducing the heat generated for the firing unit, and slowing their recharge down a bit back to where it was previously. They now should function as a high accuracy (and thus, noob-pilot friendly) short range weapon that can cause significant heat problems for enemies.
Currently there is only a Windows version of this build. Please note this build is considered experimental. If you encounter any issues please let me know on the discord!
Update 11/3/2023: Fixed a bug that prevented this version from running properly if a gamepad was NOT connected, also fixed a few visual glitches on the star map
Update 11/4/2023: Fixed bug affecting assassination missions starting properly and bug that could crash salvage repairs
