Growing up, a "high value man" was a guy with a good job who treated women with respect and was marriage minded. That was the dynamic our parents set up and lived by and passed on (or tried) to my generation. Of course, everything you described here existed, it just wasn't talked about out loud was just put into the category of "that guy is a jerk" or "he's no good". Glad to see people like you have fleshed this out, so the current/next generation gets it.
