Denki - Prey WIP

So Denki in this AU is actually always known for wearing clothes, as opposed to everyone else that only goes out of their way to do it when they want to look nice (I just always draw them without clothes for my first reference design)

This is cause clothes severely drags in the water and is normally colorful, so can easily catch the eye of a predator. By wearing them you sacrifice your speed and safety for aesthetic

Denki however, is not a super fast swimmer, based on his mixed species. But still, not many predator type Mer would fuck with him

He’s mainly based on an electric eel, electric stingray, and a jellyfish

Not only can he conduct electric city through his body at will, but just touching him is incredibly painful. The way his body works is very similar to Katsuki, so this ability would secrete through his skin. He has moderate to good control over this, however his ability to control it is compromised when he gets either frightened or too excited

The only parts of his body that he can not control to this extent is the end of his tail and his tails side fins. To keep true to his species, those parts cannot be trained to secrete less, and will always be painful to touch
