Finally! ❤️ I meant to post this in the morning, but I accidentally scheduled it for tomorrow morning instead. So posting it now

Deku will always find a way to cry, even underwater 😂 this is actually based off the the Hagfish, so mer-people CAN cry underwater

But for clarification about why they didn’t recognize each other, I want to really stress how Kacchan saw Deku (part 2-panel 2) and how Deku sees him in the last page of part 3. Deku is based off a near shore fish, his eyes are not meant to adjust to the dark. While Kacchan is a deep sea cephalopod and he, at best, saw streaks of color through the bars when talking to Deku. This is also why, even though Deku is looking directly at him, he still can’t see him well.

I’m going to be posting a couple bonus pages for this that better explain the how’s and why’s ❤️ they will be separate from part 4

This is actually the direction this comic was supposed to take lol I know it’s not exactly what a lot of people had in mind
