For a long time I was limited by the amount of VRAM during my renderings ... Paradoxically, it is the RAM that will end up missing me ... and when you see the price at which DDR4 is negotiating, I believe that to go from 64gb to 128gb will be a sweet dream for a while ...

I know blender is working on reworking Cycles from scratch to be more performant, but that'll be merged in with 3.1, and 3.0 is still in alpha. I wish you luck with your hunt for more RAM.

I had wondered about the use of render farms, but unfortunately the amounts to ask are important, and I calculated that it was more interesting for me to buy a large graphics card that I can use at any time. The problem I am currently experiencing seems to me to be related to a poor optimization of Daz3D in the management of elements with a lot of polygon. On the image you can see an entire forest, not just a few scenery elements ... And this greatly slows down Daz3D's viewport (it eats 20gb of RAM just for a preview) and climbs to 40gb when rendering IRAY ... Imagine what will happen if I add two more characters and some fur ... I believe Daz3D could not handle it optimally. My will is to increase to 128gb of RAM in my PC, and when I have a little more time, I will think of an alternative to Daz3D for the creation of very complex scenes.

Would it be possible to have somethings not render fully in the viewport [like hair and grass] and send this off to a renderfarm?
