I see it's been mentioned that the reason for Pike going away is that Ashley Johnson (that plays Pike) had to go to NYC for a longer period of time to film the tv show Blindside. Ashley is also Ellie in The Last of Us btw! I really love when you catch Matt Mercers cameos! He also does Sylas Briarwood though!

Also look at that Daylight foreshadowing! So yeah so many folks've said it but what IS nice is that the show gives Pike many moments where Ashley Johnson wasn't present.

2024-09-17 21:05:14 +0000 UTCI'm sure a million people will give this info, but yes during Campaign 1 (and little bit of Campaign 2) Ashley Johnson (Pike) was cast on a live action TV show and had to miss a lot of sessions. So there had to be week to week reasons why Pike was missing sometimes. I actually appreciate that this show was able to work it fairly neatly into the plot in a natural way.
