David was not playing as the guy who died, it just cut to him orgasming after he did die, misleading some of the audience into thinking that he was playing as him, but he wasn't. But yes, the guy who was killing the cops actually happened. Sorry for my confusing and nsfw explanation.

It's definitely a different experience, but I'd say it's almost just as good. It may have had a rocky start, but the game has gotten SO MUCH better.

BD means Brain Dance which is a virtual experience where you can feel EVERTHING, even pain. The fight at the start actually happened, and David's mom was working as a paremedic at the site, which it showed on the TV. The transition from the fight to David was just a bit misleading, he wasn't experiencing the fight. At the moment, David knows nothing of what happened during the fight or that the guy also had a Sandevistan.

Virtues and BrainDances are extremely similar in idea, difference is Virtus are interactive, and BDs are just recordings. What David was doing in the very beginning of the show was watching a braindance, the braindance recorded by Lt James Norris when he died. The show could have explained these things better, but yknow

Theres a whole bunch of lore around how that merge happened but all you really need to know is that Euros and Dollars merged, and we got Eurodollars out of it. Eddies is short for that, and occasionally youll hear "ennies" which is basically pennies.

Funny enough, in the game theres ads for products to protect yourself from this, and websites on the ingame internet that provide cheaper ideas on how to prevent it. One of the ideas that the website mentions is literally just tape. Just put duct tape over it.
