Open Sauce ticket giveaway and a brief update

In other news: An update has certainly been too long in the making. As you probably noticed, it's been pretty quiet around here. And as some of you might have guessed, yes, it was another concussion. I hit my head on the hotel sink when I was in Prague shooting the Prusa video. I thought it would be a short recovery, but I'm still recovering now. The good news is that I went back to cognitive effects in April and the treatment really seems to be working and I'm rapidly feeling like myself again.

I have a number of videos that were shot prior to the concussion that were still working on editing but they should be coming out more rapidly now as I'm able to spend more time in front of the computer reviewing edits. We're finishing up the big iphone shell video and i'm really excited for you to see it we're hoping to get it out by the end of the month but there's still a ways to go on the edit. I shot more than 8TB of footage!

I also plan on starting to post rough cuts here again. Sorry that didn't happen for the past few videos. It was simply too much to manage.

Speaking of too much to manage - The past six months have given me some clarity on some things that I need to change about Strange Parts to allow me to focus on the pieces that only I can do, as well as the pieces I enjoy the most.

While I'm not ready to talk about all of them publicly just yet, one major one is that I'm resuming my efforts to hire a producer with the goal of handing off all day-to-day logistics around video production.

I've made several attempts at hiring for this role without finding the right person yet. It's a pretty unique role: 50% international travel, 50% working remotely. I'm looking for someone who has experience living in China and TV, film, or video production experience.
