True, but I was drawing at straws, a normal Fate Emiyas only chance against gods at their full strength would be a full barrage in UBW, one like oath under snow Shirou did to match Ea for as long as he had mana. Or maybe projecting Excalibur and dying in an attempt to kill them as well.

Him figuring out that Medea knew Kuzuki wasn’t something I expected to happen. This makes me want Shirou to try it out even more just so he can see if he has any connection with anyone in the throne (EMIYA or Arturia). We’re finally back to what happened to Rin, glad that she was this open with them, I thought Aphrodite would have had more control on her. Still they can move forward to getting back at her! For Tsubasa I’m glad that things aren’t too bleak for her going forward, not great, but manageable. Shirou and her antics were funny and enjoyable. I look forward to Shirou trying to train her! Shirous conversation with Medusa was nice, but facing an Olympian… he’d need a fully realized UBW or maybe a good bonded NP (from Arturia) to be capable of that, then again with Ascension he might just need Kanshou. Altria is back after a while! I look forward to Shirou and her working together! As always I can’t wait for the next chapter!

In FF there is a writer who tends to write to our protagonist in an omnipresent way. And before we can say that Shirou's type of relationship with his environment was similar. Until they killed Lakmia. But now "the goat" came back, didn't bite his tongue and was willing to hand out dagger and bulk because of his way of seeing things. He was again an unstoppable force in the narrative very similar to when he had his conversation with the family after rescuing Medusa.

Also I have legitimately no idea who the hell that other mage could be besides maybe zouken. That might a real issue if that is the case though. But seriously who the hell is a person like shirou? I genuinely have no idea. So I guess this is now the 'shirou gets ludicrously strong again' arc since everyone just had their own arcs about becoming stronger? I can't wait shirou's growth because I want more badass shirou. Love the chapter and can't wait for more!
